It's always nice to take profits, but that's generally a term we relate to trading. Dollar Cost Averaging, buying incrementally on the way up and selling incrementally on the way down.

But do you really want to do that with HIVE / LEO / ANYTHING you are staking? Back in the old Steem day's I got really excited over a small / medium upvote. Holy shit I got $1 on this blog? Who would have thought! Blogging for crypto. Such a beautiful invention. Of course the ponzi question arise; but we all just figure it out by calling the whole financial system a ponzi anyways.

I have cashed out STEEM only one time and that was just to buy some hard metals. I think it was still the right move at the time; although HODLING in BITCOIN probably would have been an even better approach. We don't really know the future. We say the future is Bitcoin and encryption; but others might say no, it's quantum encryption.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_cryptography "Not to be confused with post-quantum cryptography, which is the field of cryptography which studies cryptographic algorithms strong against quantum computers."

Can wallets be cracked in a few years time when those super computers come online? This certainly could tank the price of BTC as much as an EMP could do it. Since we are no where close to that (years), I won't lose sleep over it. However, if it became someone's life mission to hack BTC encryption I'm sure its not a question of will it be done; but when.

In the Crypto Discord I hear a lot of 'wen' 'wen' 'wen'

Dcity third edition.. 'wen' DreamR 'wen' (BRO joke) LEO 'bridge' 'project blank' wen wen wen

I love DEFi but is it ponzi?

So here's my take away from all of this. Sure invest, risk, do whatever you have to do. Know why you are here. I have stuck so much time and energy into Hive only to re-invest my earnings (90%). On Hive and unfortunately by extention Discord I have learned about Defi, BNB chain, Graphene technology, Ethereum, BTC and the list just goes on and on. By participating on this chain I have forced myself to research, write, learn to invest, make investment mistakes..

I am very grateful for this chain and the myriad of people (literally hundreds or thousands) that have made me type, research, work for my 'money'. I mostly treat my blog earnings as tips only to be put back into the system that provides me the motivation. I said I was taking a break from blogging.. but when I have that motivation blogging becomes easier.

So thanks Hive and all those others I have met on the chain. Hive has so much more utility then many of these other shit-coins out there. Sometimes I hope that Hive stay's as a little oasis away from the hype. Keeps it special. But like most economies, things need to grow or they stagnate and die. So are we still early on? I hope so.
