Relying solely on the school system and by extension teachers to educate our children or on hospitals and doctors to maintain good health are terrible ideas.

I’ll hasten to say that there are great teachers and equally very good doctors out there but like any other profession, they are not all the same. If you’ve ever been a student, visited the dentist or local clinic/hospital you may have already come to this realization. The top performers tend to be the ones who have spent the most time doing practice related to the area being tested.

What can we do for ourselves? In an ideal world people would excerise, have healthy eating habits, get enough sleep😴 and look out for each other. Equally parents would play some role in partnership with teachers, churches, sports clubs and the wider community to ensure that children are on a path that will objectively lead to a better future.

Closest School 🏫 nearest Doctor? Parents who have the ability to, tend to choose to live in communities where their children can be part of a schooling culture that fits the trajectory for their child or in the absence of such a culture, opt for creating it themselves through homeschooling or some hybrid of both.Of course the closest school or doctor may not necessarily be the best one for you or your child.

Who should be responsible for the health and education of our children? Is it parents, teachers, doctors, dentists, the church, the community, social media or the government

What are your thoughts 💭?
