It has been a long time coming in the works, had a lot of back and forths but I'm finally curating with 10k Leo. Perhaps I would have gotten here a bit sooner if I didn't sell off some Leo in the past, but what's done is done and we can't cry about spilled milk.

For what it's worth, in the future, I'll still sell some Leo but definitely not right now, with prices being so low as they are.

Backing Leo Community

For anyone reading this that wants to get into the Leo groove, I want you to know that this is the best time to get some cheap Leo.

I strongly believe in this project because of the community that's backing it. When you look around, you find out that you're in a league of extraordinary gentlemen and that right there makes me feel very comfortable with the project.

This is why I decided to put my weight behind the project, especially now that prices are so low.

To prevent me from selling and also to maximise profit from my voting power, I created a curation account for Leo and delegated my Leo power to it.

I previously planned to live off my curation earnings but with Splinterlands taking off so hard, I eventually started living off earnings from the game and reinvested Leo.

So if you combine the Leo power from my main account and the curation earnings in the curation account, I'm just over 10k Leo Power.

I don't have any intentions to stop here though, because my goal is still to break into the top 50 Leo holders.

This is proving to be a very difficult task because people at the top aren't stagnant. They're constantly piling on more Leo and growing their stake, thus increasing my target amount of Leo.

For example, about five months ago, I needed about 16k Leo to get into the top 50, right now, I need at least 20k Leo power to break in. Also, who's to say that it won't just get higher by the time I double my Leo stake.

For what it's worth though, I actually like the fact that I have a moving target to achieve. It just goes to show what kind of community Leofinance is and elaborates my point about the place being filled with awesome investors that know their onions.

I want to grow on Splintertalk and POB

I have also been staking all the SPT tokens I earn from post rewards and delegating it to my curation account in that front end.

The only problem I have with SPT and pretty much everything that's not Leo is that the front ends are very difficult to use.

Perhaps I've been spoilt by Leo and the underlying swift transaction speed on the top layer Dapps like PEAKD, but using Splintertalk and Proofofbrain is very tedious.

Using these other front ends is very frustrating at times. I know my internet is horrible but I'm pretty sure it has always been like this, even before the internet went to shit.

Due to this slow speed of transaction on those front ends, I miss out on a lot of curation rewards and also slow down my ability to participate in the distribution of tokens.

For that reason, I'm considering pulling my SPT power from my curation account and delegating it to @monster-curator because that team spends more time on the platform and actively curates posts there.

Also, is there a curation account like that for POB that pays dividends as well? It might be worth it to just delegate some POB tokens that way and earn daily dividend that will be reinvested.

Your stake is your power

So that's it for now, and what I can say for sure is that I'll be staking even more tokens.

Hive engine is comparatively smaller than hive top layer but that's expected. However, I feel like these second-layer tokens have a lot of potential, so I'm pitching my tent in their corner.

I feel like many of them will gobble up a lot of hive in the near future, and if my plans work out, I'll be able to pull out a decent amount of Hive from them, and get me into orca status or at least pay the bills. Either way, a win is a win and I like winning.
