In a matter of hours, Chaos will be upon us and the first signs of the new set of monsters will be made clearer.

Through the current set of reward cards, we've got a teaser but now the real stuff beckons and the chaos legion comes in their full glory.

We know the monsters, when compared to the current crop of cards in previous editions, will have half collection power for their rarity level but that's about all we know.

If we go by that really cool animation that was published on YouTube though, we can expect a plethora of badass monsters in the set. I'm personally looking forward to adding that corrupted Doctor to my ranks.

There will be chaos

There seems to be quite a lot of excitement because of the presale event that goes live in 19 hours.

This excitement will be felt by the network and I'm guessing there will be some downtime when the vouchers start getting sent out.

Also, I suspect there will be even more chaos on the trading front because people are going to try to get as many vouchers as possible.

I'm trying not to think about the whole voucher situation too much because I don't think I'll be able to compete with the big money from bigger investors. However, I've been staking SPS as always, and I'm just banking on that to earn me something from the voucher airdrop.

It'll be really interesting to watch the whole thing unfold as the vouchers hit the market and people go crazy on them. I reckon the price of the vouchers will hit the roof initially, before settling at a respectable rate.

I don't intend to sell my vouchers but if a good price comes along, I'll dabble. Just like SPS though, I will not sell all my vouchers, since I play the game and actually need them for other things.

What do you want more?

As the chaos legion unfolds and we start seeing the importance of SPS tokens, I find myself in this conflicting situation. I keep wondering if staking SPS tokens is more important than holding DEC.

On one hand, you stake SPS and print more SPS but on the other hand, you hold DEC and earn more SPS from the daily airdrop. I feel like the momentary sale of SPS for DEC will bring more reward in the long run, since it will enable you to earn even more SPS in the long run.

I think timing is the key here, and so buying DEC whenever the price drops will maximise your SPS tokens. I sold a lot of monsters and swapped some of my SPS tokens for DEC, and that has dramatically boosted my SPS airdrop points.

The point is, if you pick your moment and sort out all the variables, you could actually squeeze out extra value from the airdrops on Splinterlands.
