Hello Splinterlands, it has been a while

It's been a long time I wrote a Splinterlands post but I reckon I'd do one quick one since my new laptop is just hungry for work. I've been clicking around and just enjoying the improved efficiency it offers and that took me over to my Splinterlands deck, amongst other things.

I don't know if you believe in omens, signs and all that stuff, but if you do, it will please you to know that my first victory with this new baby was a resounding victory.

This was also my 5071st victory out of 9675 battles, meaning I have a 52% win rate. It could be better but it could also be away worst, so I'm not complaining.

Rise in deck value

The pump in the value of Hive has also had a positive effect on the value of DEC. The rise in DEC value has led to a rise in the value of all the cards in my deck.

Prior to the pump, my deck value was worth around $700 but after the pump, the market value jumped to $1021 range.

I decided to cash in on some of the profit by listing a couple of legendary cards for sale. My collection power took a hit but it didn't affect my current maximum tier of diamond 2.

I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with the revenue I generate from the sales but I'll definitely be holding it in Hive. Holding Hive ensures that I can easily swap it for DEC in case of a dump or cash out to handle issues in life. As I said, nothing has been decided.

Missing in action

The past couple of weeks have been somewhat hectic for me, in terms of work. I've found myself in a situation where tasks were being piled on me and I didn't have the option of delegating to anyone else. Lately, I've been doing that and it has given me more time to get up to scratch in the game.

I've missed out on so many tournaments and opportunities to buy land as well. Now I'm back, well, only kind of, because once the euphoria of the new laptop wears out, I'll just fall back to my holiday mood until later this month when I think I'll be mentally ready to go back to my usual schedule.
