I've not been playing Splinterlands as much as I used to. In fact, I've probably played one or two games in the past two weeks but I still look out for opportunities to make a quick flip.

The release of Vruz is something that I actually haven't talked about since the proposal was pushed for the community to vote. As you recall, this idea to create a monster based on SPS stake was partly to show the community the importance of their SPS stake.

According to the schedule, every Splinterlands account will be eligible to buy one Vruz for every 1000 SPS that is staked. So, putting it plainly, if you stake 1100 SPS, you can only buy one.

A snapshot has already been taken, so whatever SPS you had staked leading up to yesterday is probably what was used to determine how many Vruz you can buy. I don't actually know the exact moment the snapshot was taken but I speculate it is somewhere between 24-48 hours before purchase of the monster is activated.

No need to rush....too much

What we know is that each account with 1000 SPS or more staked will be able to buy at least 1 Vruz. The price of one BCX of the monster is technically only a few cents, since all you need is a voucher to mint one BCX of the monster, as depicted in the dedicated Promo Splinterlands page

For what is a common monster, this is quite steep but considering how rare the monster actually is, I guess it is a fair price. People using it for Splinterlands battles are definitely going to have an edge in battles.

Vruz is a low mana monster with a lot of speed but comes with very tiny health and damage. Considering it is a 2-mana common monster, I'd say that's fair.

Vruz also offers sneak ability from level 1 and gets even more special abilities from level 5, upwards. This monster is going to make a difference in low mana battles snd equaliser ruleset battles.

Overall, it does look like an overpowered common monster and one of those that could easily pass as a legendary monster. However, considering the total number of SPS that are staked, you can expect that the number of BCX in circulation will not allow it to be priced as a legendary monster.

I ended up with 7 standard foils and the current market price for each of them is 48 cents. That's already a flippable rate, as the current price of a voucher is about 12 cents. That's an easy 4x flip, earning me 36 cents per VRUZ in my collection, if I decide to flip.
