Two nights ago I was fixing up my bed to sleep and looked around the room to notice that I had a lot more shit than I used to.

I'm not dirty in the literal sense but I do tend to leave things lying around where they usually shouldn't be. So I looked around my room and it was littered with different items that got me thinking.

I fantasize about getting rich and in most of my fantasies, the projected image of myself works extremely hard. In all these visions of myself, my life is dedicated to work and family but I also notice that I don't have fancy things.

I read and hear about how people talk about the volume of money in one's possession as an indicator of the quality of life. I haven't been rich before, so I can't say for sure but over the years, I've found that when I have a bit more money on me, I only feel a surge of responsibility on me to create value with the money.

I keep trying to improve the quality of life I live through acquiring more shit. I feel a bit more comfortable these days but there's just this itch that I can't seem to scratch.

Perhaps it is because I'm not quite rich enough or maybe it is this internal conflict between what I really want and what society dictates I should want.

For the most part of my life, I've been trying to figure out what exactly I want in various situations. Sometimes I get hungry and don't even know what I want to eat, while other times, I have a bit of spare cash and don't quite know what I could actually get outside appliances and assets.

Perhaps when I get older and I create that consistency that breeds comfort in my cash flow, I might be able to take some time off working and figure out the things I like.

For now, it is all about writing content, handling requests from customers for my writing gigs, until I've accumulated enough funds to create the consistent cash flow that will help me discover myself.
