If you've visited the Splinterlands website in recent times, you'd have noticed a slight change in the way SPS staking reward is paid out. In the past, we received vouchers daily like an airdrop but that has been slightly tweaked.

Now you have the room to accumulate vouchers in the same way SPS token is farmed when you stake SPS. You claim the vouchers at the same time with the usual SPS you earn from staking SPS.

This slight tweak now combines the APR from the usual SPS you receive from staking SPS and the APR from receiving vouchers. That combines to an 58% APR at the moment.

Staking SPS in the game is still not as high as staking wrapped SPS in Polycub but it still looks healthy. Other than the fact that you earn up 91% APR for staking SPS in Polycub, the other difference is that your stake will not experience impermanent loss due to price fluctuation in either SPS or Polycub.

Interestingly, the price of both assets have been relatively stable in recent times. SPS has hovered around 9 cents and Polycub has maintained that 15-16 cents range.

As long as nothing crazy happens in the market, I don't expect any wild changes in the situation.

In any case, I can't say for sure which staking option is better, with all things considered. Staking SPS in the game and staking on Polycub are both good options.

Staking in the game means you get to earn vouchers that has historically been as high as $13 and while that is highly unlikely at the moment, it is not out of the question.

Staking in Polycub, on the other hand, offers the opportunity to earn Polycub tokens that have an extremely limited supply. I mean, SPS also has a limited supply but that will be 3 Billion tokens, against Polycub that will only probably reach around 8 million tokens at most.

So where will you rather stake your SPS and why do you prefer staking it where you decide? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
