Cindicator: STEEM and HIVE in Question List

Yesterday, an interesting question came up on my Cindicator feed... a showdown between two vaguely familiar social media based cryptocurrency platforms! Now, it isn't often that STEEM appears in the Cindicator question list... and from memory, this is the first time that HIVE has appeared in the question list. Generally, the questions in the cryptocurrency market section of the Cindicator list are mostly to do with larger market cap coins or the entire ecosystem as a whole and very rarely do the questions deal with smaller cap projects. So, in some ways, it is great for both projects to have been noticed at all!

Now, the question refers to a listing on Gate.io... I don't personally use Gate.io as a crypto trading portal, but it appears that it is an exchange that doesn't charge listing fees... which does set it apart from the larger exchanges like Binance, Huobi and Kucoin. That said, many of these exchanges do need to get their liquidity from somewhere (just their own users won't be enough depth) and they often need to turn to the larger exchanges for that sort of depth. Anyway, listing is listing... and even better if the project doesn't need to put down a fee for that listing... which is something that skews the listing process towards projects that have a more centralised structure, as they can be the ones that will stump up the cash/crypto for the listing process to start.

I do find it interesting that these are the two projects that have been put up head to head in this listing competition. HIVE and STEEM have a bit of a shared history in the recent past... and I think that the organisers of the listing contest are trying to get a bit of traction by capitalising on this recent acrimonious history!

Anyway, I did answer the question on Cindicator... although, I will hold my cards close to my chest on this. That said, I don't think it would be any surprise to anyone who has followed my account on both chains to know which one I have a preference for! However, one's personal preference doesn't make for great generalisations... that is how false assumptions and projections are done, and things shouldn't be based on that sort of personal skew!

Bizarrely, I got this in my email box this morning... the reason that it was bizarre was that Cindicator never share the outcome of question predictions over email... they have a particular subscriber channel for these predictions! Still, it was interesting to see what the AI/Analyst hybrid was predicting... we will see if that is the way it turns out... as with all predictions, a grain of salt is best taken with it. On the other hand, it appears that Cindicator did a pretty interesting experiment by taking their own investment predictions... and turned out ahead!

If you are interested in voting or are just curious about the outcome, you can follow the Gate.io contest here: https://www.gate.io/poll/votelist/13

May the best project win!

Coin Tracking

Looking for a quick and easy way to keep track of your cryptocurrencies? Coin Tracking offers a free service that includes manual tracking or automatic tracking via APIs to exchanges, allowing you to easily track and declare your cryptocurrencies for taxation reports. Coin Tracking can easily prepare tax information sheets that are catered to each countries individual taxation requirements (capital gains, asset taxation, FIFO). Best to declare legally and not be caught out when your crypto moons and you are faced with an unexpected taxation bill (unless you are hyper secure and never attach any crypto with traceable personal information, good luck with that!).

Keep Your Crypto Holdings Safe with Ledger

Ledger is one of the leading providers of hardware wallets with the Ledger Nano S being one of the most popular choices for protecting your crypto currencies. Leaving your holdings on a crypto exchange means that you don’t actually own the digital assets, instead you are given an IOU that may or may not be honoured when you call upon it. Software and web based wallets have their weakness in your own personal online security, with your private keys being vulnerable in transit or whilst being stored upon your computer. Paper wallets are incredibly tiresome and still vulnerable to digital attacks (in transit) and are also open to real world attacks (such as theft/photography).

Supporting a wide range of top tokens and coins, the Ledger hardware wallet ensures that your private keys are secure and not exposed to either real world or digital actors. Finding a happy medium of security and usability, Ledger is the leading company in providing safe and secure access to your tokenised future!
