2021 was a year with so many challenges and achievements. However, I feel I didn't hit most of my hive target basically because of either latitude or being overly occupied by my main job.

This year, I want to devote more time to the hive blockchain and hopefully find a way to contribute my little quota to making the hive blockchain a better place.

One of the problems I had in 2021 was not putting a date to each of my goals. This year, I intend to make sure all my goals are time-bound.

I also plan to review them every quarter of the year.

With that said, let's dive right in

My goals are divided into two categories

  • Goals for the community
  • Goals for myself

#goals for Myself.

Goal 1.

Make a post every day

This has been the one challenging goal in my years on the blockchain. I consider people who do this as superhuman. It's so sad that I have never gone a full month writing consistently on the hive blockchain.

I intend on hitting that achievement this year. It's going to require a lot of sacrifice from me, waking up early, preparing ahead if I have a very busy day., having a lot of scheduled posts etc.

I will be so glad if I can achieve this goal or at least post for 80% of the year.

Goal 2

Increase the number of people I have a relationship with on hive.

This goal right here is one of the major goals for my growth this year if I stick to it.

Relationships are the foundation for growth on hive and I intend to increase the number of people I currently have a relationship with while maintaining the ones I still have.

I plan on engaging on the blockchain every day.

I will engage with a new user every day for the next year.

I plan on making at least 20 comments on my very busy days and 50-100 comments on days that I am less busy.

Goal 3

Win the engagement league at least twice this year.

Engagement league is a league hosted by @abh12345. The league shows people who have engaged the most on the blockchain.

My reason for winning this league is just to know what it feels like. I also want to know the commitment involved.

Sometimes it's not about what you get, sometimes it's about the person you become in the process of getting there.

Goal 4

5k Hive power

This is the scary one.

Hitting 5k hive power with the current price of hive is a scary one.

At times I pull out of my hivepower for certain emergencies but yes I need to hit 5k hive power this year and I think it is very achievable.

Writing every day, engaging every day, putting more skin in the game when the opportunities arise will be some of my strategies for the year.

#community goals

Goal 1

4 Mini meet-ups before the end of the year.

I intend on hosting 4 mini meetups in Ibadan this year.

I will be hosting it every quarter.

The meetup aims to talk about hive and encourage people to join hive.

It will also involve teaching them the different ropes on hive.

How they can maximize their hive account to the fullest.

Goal 2

Attend 2 hive meetups in Nigeria

I intend on attending two meetups in Nigeria.

I would love to attend the Ibadan meetup and I really hope I can help people grow in whatever way they wish to on hive

This year, I am also looking forward to a Lagos or Abuja meetup.

Goal 3

Writing an ebook guide for new users on hive.

A whole lot of times, new users complain about how complex the hive blockchain is and most of the time they get tired of trying to go through the process.

In this book, I intend to make transitioning onto the hive blockchain seamless by writing a guide.

I will be talking to a few hivers to help with proofreading, editing and criticising.

I intend on talking to hivers like @ericvancewalton, @nathanmars, @eddiespino, @galenkp, @nonsowrites and @josediccus to help review the book.

I intend on writing a chapter every week for the first quarter of the year.

The next quarter of the year would be for reviewing and editing.

After that, I intend to send it to new users as soon as they get on hive through the introduce yourself tag.

I also intend to write the book in 5 languages English, Spanish, Russian, French and Chinese. I will be focusing on English first, Spanish next before other languages.

That's all for now, still figuring out better ways to accomplish these goals but I guess, I will just start the process and make adjustments as time goes on.
