Building Gains In The Metaverse

One could compare the metaverse that is currently taking shape to the real world. The big perk of the metaverse however is that at the moment you are still on the ground floor of possibilities. In this article I'm going to go over a few ways to build wealth in the Metaverse.

What Is The Metaverse?

Many of us thing back of the world of VR but the metaverse takes things to a all new levels. Its VR + everything else we have in life into a digital "world" this world if filled with ads, events, lands, resources and other various aspects such as NFTs. What's cool about the digital world is there are seriously no limitations which makes it in my opinion 1000% more powerful than real world assets (in some cases)

The digital phase of humans is here and this is only the start of interaction of tech with humans. What many old time investors can't wrap their head around is how a digital asset holds any value at all. To that I say remember your good old supply and demand. The only reason gold, silver, stocks or anything has value is because someone wants it and someone is willing to sell it in exchange for something else.

Look at the gaming space. These skins and other in game collections are simply digital and hold no value. Well really they do because we constantly see bots and sites trying to sell gold and other items from games like Amazons New World, Eve online etc. Now put that into a metaverse and gaming and you can see there's actully a HUGE demand for such things.

Real Estate in the Virtual sense

As of right now there are a number of "worlds" that run on various block chains. The issue however is these worlds only hold value if people want to interact within them. In most cases they are small or extremely hyped up from a big artist or content creator being a part of it.

At some point I believe these worlds will start to blend together create a seamless world of digital assets but that time is most likely years away. What's important is to do your own research on new worlds and see what you feel has potential and might do well. From the people creating it, if it's decentralized and whos promoting it are all interesting aspects to consider before investing.

Play2Earn games like Splinterlands will soon be releasing land aspects to the game which I would consider a form of metaverse as well. These lands hold value in terms of producing resources needed for the game and new aspects of the game. Either by renting out the land and allowing others to mine it or mining it yourself both of these now generate passive income just like real land would. The big benefit no property taxes lol at least not yet in terms of it could be a small tax to help the game developers or what would be really good is a DAO system or pool with governance that allocates how much to development and how much to assets across people or even buying back/burning assets. These are all fundamental resources that are possible with a truly decentralizes world. If you want to get paid for your dev work well you better be good at also showing off what you're doing so people can vote for you and allocate some of that pool to you.

Replacing Fiverr and UpWork

Services are another way the metaverse can be added into the world we live in today. Providing work in exchange for crypto has been attempted in the past. However with many of these projects they simply lack the business building aspects and for some reason most feel if they build it they will come. If anything MORE marketing $ will have to be used to onboard users to this new method as it's new and complicated. That brings up important part number two ease of use and user UI are CRITICAL for growth and development of any of these platforms. If you have a complicated onboarding process well your honestly screwed to put it plainly.

Investments

Buying tokens outright is another way to getting in on the metaverse. There are still a number of projects still being built and growing. Just like investing in bitcoin or Ethereum these tokens and projects have the capability of being one of the top 50 or better yet top 10 tokens.
