Why Onboarding Now Is More Critical Than Ever

Over the last 24-48 hours we have seen massive rallies in Hive. It feels like just yesterday that Hive was $0.14 and Leo was $0.20. Today we are faced with this...

While LEO has taken a bit of a dip recently what you really should focus on is HIVE. What's triggering this?

A number of things...

#1 More People > More Demand > Same Supply

As more people start using hive and seeing the benefits of it the more usecases get developed. The more Hive gets staked and the wealth moves around to more people. DON'T be stingy with your upvotes!!
If you believe in a project or believe what someone wrote holds good quality to you and perhaps others then it most likely is worth a bit of your vote. The more this is spread around the better.

How long do you think someone will write good quality articles and try and help a platform and stick around if every day they get 10 small votes when their content is really worth much more. Take some time each day and try and find new people to engage with and support no matter if your vote is small or large it all counts!

Key Takeaways

  • Engage with comments of value

  • Spread your voting power on projects and people you believe are brining value

#2 Some weird projects
and odd ways to try and get HBD to stick to a $1 peg. I don't agree with a lot of what's going on right now to try and stabilize HBD but I only hold so much weight and voiced my opinion with a vote of no vote which all you can do. In any case what this is doing is helping to drive up the price of Hive. However to me the way it's being done seems a little manipulative and honestly just a weird way to go about trying to fix the issue that has been around since Hive/Steem were born. To me I would vote fix it at the core and stop throwing random money at it. I might catch some flack for this section of the post but I'm ok with that. We all have our own opinions and views and having healthy discussions about it is important and seeing others viewpoints. It leads to understanding, innovation and new ideas. So if someone would care to drop the other side of this in a comment in a constructive way I'd love to hear it!

The old saying goes "Throwing money at problems never solved anything!"

#3 Tokens / Development / DeFi and more While most tokens on this platform are simply a cookie cutter version of Hive itself there are some that have developed and become powerhouses in themselves.

Of course the one that sticks out to me most is LEOFinance. With the recent launch of CubDeFi.com it's brought a lot of new eyes on Leo but also Hive in itself. While they aren't directly tied they do hold enough of a tie together that they support each other. People from Hive find their way to LeoFinance and people from LeoFinance and their continued Suite of platforms such as CubDeFi and many more in the works brings new eyes to Hive.

It wont be 100% but every little bit counts and is effective. I'll drop another old saying on you that many of you can relate to for running your own business.

"I would rather earn 1% off 100 people's efforts than 100% of my own efforts." John D Rockefeller

What that means is by setting up these systems as Leo is doing it does take a lot of upfront time, costs and continued production. However once it's running and the engines are turning you shift quickly form doing 100% of the work yourself to freeing that up to others.

Every new platform that gets launched such as CubDefi and ProjectBlank are ways to have others help promote LEO and Hive in general. It brings new awareness to the platforms and it's doing so off of others efforts who are using these platforms.

Other communities that come to mind are BroFi and CTP. Building community is critical and important. However with doing so you need to understand that your community needs to be open and welcoming to others even if they have other views. Of course if they are destructive views they should be removed! People naturally want to feel and be a part of something.

This brings me to the end all of why right now is more critical than ever before to on board and welcome these new people to the platform. When they become a part of it they will trust, believe, bring ideas, development and further tell others about the platform as well. Devote some time to exploring and hunting out new worthy content each day and drop it an upvote and/or comment.
