Two of The Best Web3 Communities (HIVE / Decentraland)

It's all about Web3 these days, and if you know, you know! The best people I have come across are on blockchain. I've been on hive for quite some time and for the part of a couple of years now I've been lurking on Splinterlands and other blockchain projects along the way. It comes to no surprise that the potential for growth by using the hive blockchain is enormous and can no longer be ignored.
What is HIVE? Hive gives your thoughts and creativity value. Someone who may feel unheard can be heard. Folks that can't stop creating and love a good discussion have a place on hive. The social media aspect of hive blockchain proves this. It proves that not just art or content is valuable, but your own thoughts. Hive is, to me, a central hub for all things blockchain. With feeless transactions and a decentralized information sharing network with a blockchain-based financial ledger built on the Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) protocol this blockchain is a diamond in the rough. HIVE is also much more than that. With fully functional bridges and a DEX like hive-engine as well as the host to one of the top gaming Dapps in the world, Splinterlands it actually comes as a surprise to me that not more people know about and use HIVE. Especially to share their content! HIVE is a great place to showcase your creativity and work, whether you are a collector of physical precious metals or like to create art on photoshop, blender or even if you created an NFT collection you'd like to showcase, HIVE is the place to do it.
Decentraland
I've missed hanging out on hive but I knew that more was desired. I have been following Decentraland when it was still a brand new project. While back then there was no decentraland to connect to and explore, I waited a long time for this project to come together. So long that I even forgot about it for what feels like a good two years. I can almost consider hive my text-based metaverse. The folks around here and communities are incredible. However; I was looking for more and the thought of decentraland gave me a vision of being able to visit the Ethereum network in a 3D world. While HIVE is definitely a central hub for all things crypto to me, today decentraland has become my central virtual hub for all things crypto. It seems that @decentraland created a steemit account so the hive account is here from the fork. Would love to see it get used more and I am hoping to make that change.
When @decentraland launched I was there. There weren't many people on but I saw the potential. IRL obstacles had me too busy to keep up until around December of 2021 when I decided I needed to create the time so I did. I was definitely loading up on #mana though. If you do just the right search, Decentraland is advertised as a virtual reality world. I was sold with VR so I purchased two Oculus Quest 2 headsets only to find out that Decentraland VR was not available yet. While I didn't know how accurate yet was, I still had hopes. I felt that the virtual reality text I read when I first searched was still accurate and in the works. The waiting game began...funny thing is, I was not very active in the Decentraland DAO so little did I know a grant for VR development was approved. Very excited for Decentraland VR and I have been alpha testing it for Byldr for about 2 months now, who have recently released an update to build on land in VR with no code needed. To me, being on both HIVE and Decentraland is a no-brainer, but I still have two questions.
What can being a part of Decentraland do for the Hive community?
I have wondered how, if at all, can the HIVE community benefit from being a part of decentraland. My best answer is that with the creativity that flows through this blockchain it wouldn't be hard to think about it and come up with your own unique answer. Also it never hurts to expand and grow! There are a lot of brands here that could benefit from renting land and showcasing their work or networking at a decentraland event with likeminded individuals. There are musicians here that could even benefit from performing live during special events on decentraland and we would love to have you!

There is a little bit of everything for everyone in Decentraland, even businesses, as we also have @Bverse, which specializes in metaverse consulting for businesses interested in entering the Metaverse and Web3.
I wouldn't go to decentraland for an insane gaming experience, but more of a Virtual Hangout with a variety of events and mini games that can be enjoyable for anyone. The gaming experience is unique though. While some can seem laggy, I still have high hopes. Games include P2E RPG style gaming where you can earn Wearable NFT's that have crafting and spells like Exodus, DiceMasters and Wilderness to a pokemon style game called Ethermon, parkour events, a mini golf game and so much more. How can the Decentraland Community benefit from joining Hive?
Answering this question is simple. When it comes to events, new projects, old projects, updates and even discussions about the DAO, there are multiple social media outlets that the community uses to get the word out. This includes twitter, facebook, instagram, snapchat and any other centralized social media outlet. Expanding your social media hustle to include HIVE is a necessary tool to reach a larger audience and even like minded crypto enthusiasts in the space that might not even know about decentraland or your project. Your project could be what sparks someones interest in Decentraland.
Then there's the fact that there are so many incredible creators on @decentraland that I feel they should be sharing their work here on HIVE and earning some HIVE on the side.
There are hive users that I know don't mess with Decentraland and there are a lot of Decentraland users that have no idea what HIVE even is. It's a win-win for the Decentraland community to utilize HIVE which can bring a larger audience and more people to the space, while also promoting HIVE and helping HIVE grow as new users coming to decentraland are watching tweets from the community that link them to this amazing platform.
