Overview of the new social network Solcial
For almost two weeks, the decentralized social network Solcial has been on the mainnet. And I want to make a review of this social network based on my 12-day experience of active use.

You can register through any crypto wallet. But at the moment registration is only by invites. If you need an invite, write to me in telegram, the link is at the end of the article.
Registration is free, but to create our own author's token, we need at least 0.02 SOL on the wallet balance. We definitely need this author's token. It is for the purchase of the author's token that users will be able to subscribe to its paid Tier2 content*. As for any transactions on the social network, for example, buying someone else's author's token, we always need to pay for gas using SOL. These are very low commissions, but any transaction cannot do without them. This must be remembered, since everything happens through our wallet.
We registered, created our own token and gave it a name. Now in the Settings we can set the cost of our Tier2 - paid content, for access to which users will buy our author's token, store it in their wallet and have permanent access to our closed content.
Even if we don’t know what we will write about in the closed Tier 2, it’s not scary. We'll figure it out later. But it is better to set the price at the start.
I went through all the registration procedures described very quickly, since I had SOL in my wallet. But there are cases when users register with an empty wallet and they do not have this minimum amount to create an author token. It's not scary, no need to panic. You can already create content, and you can create an author token a little later in the settings when you put some Solana in your wallet.
Social network overview
On the main page, we see the TOP feed of posts, as well as authors with the best and worst price at the moment. This does not mean that these authors are cool or bad. Although the price is pegged to the dollar, the main token of the social network SLCL is also pegged to the dollar. Upon registration, everyone receives 1 million of their tokens and their price is pegged to $1. But if the price of SLCL falls or rises in the market, then the cost of the author's token will behave the same way. So if you signed up today, your token is worth $1. And if I signed up 5 days ago, my token could drop to $0.80 or rise to $1.3 due to SLCL price action. And this does not mean that I am a bad or cool author. All these figures are for the cost of authors' tokens - for investment and trading in these tokens. To search for promising authors, famous authors, or authors with interesting content.
Next are the posts in the TOP feed. If you get to the TOP, you have a good chance of gaining free followers. This is important here, because the more people subscribe to us, the greater the chance in the future that one of them will be interested in our content and will be ready to buy access to Tier2.
And today, free posts in Tier 1 are our advertising platform for attracting paid subscriptions to Tier 2. In free content, we can write whatever we want. But think about what you plan to post in Tier2 and periodically inform, advertise yourself in your own free posts.
In the FEED tab, we see all the posts of those authors that we subscribed to for free. This also includes closed content, to which we are subscribed. And we must remember that if we bought access to Tier 2 of some author, we do not have the opportunity to see his past posts there. We can only see his new posts. Therefore, if we saw an interesting author, it is better to immediately buy access to his Tier 2 and not miss interesting posts.
Wallet tab
Here we can see who we invited to the social network by our invite. After registration, we have 3 invites. But as we become more active, the number of invites increases. And on the users we invite, we can earn a commission from their trades in author tokens.
Also in the wallet we see a list of all the tokens that we own. And tokens of authors, and tokens of other projects. Here the wallet displays our real wallet. We can trade and send any tokens directly from the social network, which is very convenient.
Posting
The Post tab by default adds our post to Tier 1, which is available to everyone. But in the upper right part, you can change the addition of posts to Tier 2. And be sure, this post will be seen only by those who keep your author's token in their wallet in the amount you specified to access Tier2.
Upcoming innovations
There will be exciting upgrades coming soon, such as the ability to privately chat, as well as adjust how often different prohibited content will be displayed on your Feed. Well, and most importantly, applications for Android and IOS will soon be released with a built-in wallet, which we use to enter the social network.
