I decided to take an active part in this community that chose to celebrate the brain, the computer in our head. I want to do more than add a tag and win something very passive.

The first thing that attracted me was the subtlety of this concept but also the intuition of those who proposed it. The fact that it is universal, that every human being can prove that he has a brain, no matter how primitive and uneducated, would be, because ... the brain, in fact, brings this proof alone, beyond our will.

The fact that this concept, of #proofofbrain, is so obvious and universal made me, initially, reject the project, not to really understand what it proposes and to lose the start in this community. This is proof of a lack of brains, but I hope you only consider my sincerity.

Observing the world at large, although all people have brains, it seems that some are not aware of this. As I said above, now referring to this community, we can be passive users, using only the tag #proofofbrain but most importantly, to actively train our brains, we need to be aware of what we are doing. Because in the end we can compare the brain with a muscle, the more intensely we train it, the stronger it will be ... only we have to give it, instead of movement, information, and curiosity, the desire to know!

Although obviously this is not required, I believe that I have to take some kind of test to access this community, to provide proof that I am aware that I am a brain carrier and that I know how to use it.

I found that this test can be participating in a challenge proposed by @calumam and which proposes a word every week. A word is a theme for a post in which to try to prove that we understand what it means. A very good approach that appeals to our knowledge, to the desire to learn more, and, most importantly, to our logic. Because, in my opinion, the most important thing that the brain offers us to use is logic.

The word chosen for this week is "Paradox", it's a real challenge and it proves to me once again "my luck" when I decide to enter something new. Because it's a difficult word and concept, difficult to understand and use!

Looking at this word I realized that I used it many times ... "paradoxical" and "paradoxical", I heard it used by many in everyday discussions, I heard it on TV or I read in books and magazines but only now I thought to check if I really know what it means. Of course, I studied in high school, in philosophy or logic, but that happened half a century ago and I don't think I stayed with the definition. So I did what my brain ordered, to turn to his robot brother and search on Google!

A paradox is a statement that contradicts itself or a situation that seems to defy logic. That's a simple definition of paradox. Often premises can be proven false which rectifies the contradiction. Sometimes they are just playing on words.

A rather paradoxical definition, which already makes the motors in my brain spin faster. That was not all, I also looked for some examples of famous paradoxes, launched by famous brains. There are so many, but the first meeting ended me ... Socrates' paradox.

I know I don't know anything!

Wow! My brain's motors are at full speed and they have warmed up dangerously, smoke could come out! What do you mean I know I don't know? That means I don't know ... but if I don't know, then how can I say I know? It's like a perpetual mobile that obviously can't stop. God, how much power only a few words can have!

In fact, what does that mean? You will never know them all, but it is worth trying all the time to learn. This is how I interpret this, and as a statement of modesty, when you see around you so many who are convinced that they know everything. How powerful the human brain is and has been, Socrates said this paradox a few thousand years ago and it is just as valid now.

But let's go back to our modern times ...

I wanted to write this post a few days ago, as soon as I saw the proposed word but not always the will is equal to the power to do. The next day I got the second vaccine against Covid-19 and for the next two days, I fell in bed. The reactions after the vaccine were very unpleasant, similar to the disease. Only on the third day, today, did I return to normal.

Thinking about this pandemic and the virus that triggered it, I thought that viruses, in general, are paradoxical.

The paradox is this, in my opinion.

The main goal of the virus is to multiply exponentially, he knows he can win the longing fight by number. Because of this, it became pandemic, meaning it spread everywhere. But, being so aggressive, he kills the host that feeds him and ensures his multiplication, so the desire for multiplication eventually leads him to his own death. The paradox being this ... The desire for extreme multiplication leads not to the desired result, but to its opposite, that is, to extinction! So the desire to multiply massively is a paradox!

I remember a short fable, the meaning of which is somewhat similar to what I said. Unable to stop you from doing something that becomes harmful to you.

A frog and a scorpion met on the bank of a river they both wanted to cross. Of course, the scorpion could not swim so he asked the frog to take him on its back to cross the water. The frog said she was afraid to take him because the scorpion would sting her and kill her, but he replied that he wouldn't do that because he was aware that he would die too. Then the frog agreed, took the scorpion back, and started swimming in the river. When she reached the middle of the water, the scorpion stung her. Before she died, the frog asked him why he did this, because he will die too. Then the scorpion replied to the frog: "Because I couldn't help myself!"

The action of the scorpion can be categorized as a paradox, it falls within its definition of "a situation which seems to defy logic".

That's how much I wanted to talk about the paradox, I hope I didn't beat the plains (an expression from my country as I think it has no correspondence in English), meaning I was far from the subject.

This being my first post made on the POB platform, to say what attracted me here.

In a world of communities, where everyone gathers according to passions and skills, where each community wants to differentiate itself from the others and for that, it imposes participation restrictions, that is in "Amazing Nature" you have to write only about nature, in "Cine TV "about movies, not to mention the most famous community," Leo Finance "where you can only post about money, finance, technology, crypto, and blockchain. There is this community, "Proofofbrain" that allows everything because the most insignificant post falls, it is obvious that the brain has been used.

It is extremely nice to see that there are no restrictions!

I, in the spirit of this freedom, would have allowed free access in any community, no matter how specialized it may be. Instead of immediately jumping to the defense of the race, I would ignore posts that do not match, have nothing to do with the community. Certainly, those who posted by mistake, out of ignorance, or out of a desire to earn more, because they saw greater rewards there, will not continue to post if they see zero earnings. I think this would be closer to the idea of decentralization, of absolute freedom that our blockchain claims. With warnings and downvotes from the powerful, it is clear that freedom is not equal for the poor and the rich. That the blockchain so praised as a society of the future, a free society, is only a copy of today's society. In today's society that has unchanged principles for thousands of years.

Oh, my brain went crazy, but I can't control it. I could censor him, stop writing, but I don't want that ... at least on a personal level, to keep the hope of freedom.

Beyond the elimination of restrictions, the currency also appears and is seen to be extremely valuable. We all want to gain something from our activity, following the effort made. In a month it will be four years since I wrote on this platform. In the first years, it is earned only from the specific currency, at first Steem and now Hive. Now, with a single post, you can win multiple coins, some extremely valuable, such as Hive, Leo, CTP, POB, and others. It's incredible!

I missed most communities with valuable coins, this is my talent, not to understand the value from the beginning! At Proofofbrain, I saw the Hive delegation offer to receive POB but I did not react immediately, and when I realized the value nothing could be done. I missed the start here too, although I was informed this time. I saw that others, much more informed and skilled than me, declared that they missed the start, one being none other than @onealfa, the one who dominates Leo Finance!

I also tried Leo Finance, which remains, for the most part, the most developed and innovative community in Hive, proof that Hive will soon take over some of the Leo Finance methods. I tried, but I couldn't. I made a few posts, I was even encouraged by @onealfa with two astronomical votes but I realized that I can't bring value with my posts. I can make some speculations, I can write with a dedication to shooting a few votes but I feel that I can't bring something interesting to find out for the community. A specialized community with well-informed members. Of course, among them are quite a few opportunists who manage to bend to the topics of the day and earn good money. I'm ashamed to do that and I stopped posting. I read I do curation, I have a delegation that brings me some Leo and I am satisfied with that.

I talked about it just to show how well Proofofbrain appeared for me and how sorry I was to lose the start.

I hope that things continue to go well for both the community and me and to catch up and, especially, to make me not regret the fact that I did not succeed in Leo Finance.
