I'm currently at a conference that people pay over a thousand dollars to go to. I have a wrist band that gives me early access so that those who paid regular admission are allowed in after I've taken my seat. There are thousands of people in the room with me from 8am to 10pm for four days. This convention's purpose is to teach people the pieces they need to know to make millions of dollars. Today, we saw almost 100 people get an award on stage for earning over $1M in revenue using the system of the program I'm learning. We saw a dozen or more people get an award for crossing the $10M mark, and we saw 3 that hit the $100M using this system. Did your eyes bulge seeing that number? Yes...this convention is full of entrepreneurs. They're all using the same system. Doing the numbers, about 5% of the audience has pulled in $1M+ in revenues in the last couple years, with some making that in less than a month...

You know what the overarching theme is? Your Audience. If you're selling something, you better know your audience. Every single one of the ones selling over $1M/month have shared a similar message. Don't start with a product, start with the audience. Find what they want. Find where they are having pain. Once you know their pain point, then offer them the product they need to solve that pain. If you try to pick a random product and sell it, using a shotgun method to spray the world, spending tons of money to get the word out, you'll waste money on most of the audience; however, if you spend money to find what an audience wants, then market to them, your costs are lower and more people buy your product.

What are you doing to learn who your audience is on Hive/different communities? Tell me in replies if you write with randomness, hoping someone reads your words, or if you learn your audience and provide them with what they want?
