Truth cannot be disputed even when it is hidden because when it is revealed there's no other way around it. I've always thought about how impossible it would be to do nothing and make something like a book I read some time back, "something for nothing." When I was introduced to hive be a colleague and was told how it operated, it was too good to be true and I had to join immediately as there was no source of income asides what was given by my parents or siblings. I've certainly done a lot of random and menial jobs (not that I'd call the jobs per se), selling envelopes, sold Jean trousers and worked in three different construction sites in 6 months and it wasn't worth it but helped through the period. Those activities required time and energy, working and running under the sun or rain, nevertheless they served their purpose as at the time.

Meeting Hive

I've been around for over a year and two months and I'd say that, it's been relieving to just be able to make something of nothing compared to what I've done in the past to keep body and soul together. When I was told about hive blockchain, I didn't second guess if I wanted in but was willing to do it. Never have I written or was a writer, does it even matter? Just do a research and make a quality post and be curated.

The exact kind of gig I needed all this while. You can say I'm the lazy type and I didn't realise how unlazy I was until I did those jobs. Anyway, the truth is being here with my creativity and using time as my ally has been able to get me this far regardless.

Started With Zero

I recall the shock in my face when I was told I'd need hive power to make a post, I didn't see that coming and my pocket was dry. How do I begin? At the moment of the question, I heard don't worry, I'd delegate you some HP. I was disgusted a week later after making a post and tried uploading then HP had run out, although I was delegated till I made enough to stand on my feet.

The work was in showing up every morning, posting once a day which I was able to do. No matter how little I made, I was so glad that I didn't need to go out and seek a menial job because that's what one would find in this little town and I wasn't calling for cash or begging as I used to. There's a level of contentment and urge to get more.

There might not be much to show but I've been put on a pedestal that learning and putting it into practice got me this far. So far, I've made a total of over 1.5k HP and it has certainly helped me in times when there was no where else to turn to.

What's Required?

Simple and short, you are all that is required. Just show up daily and making use of your time and creativity, find a niche that you're conversant with. I recall started blogging about cars before making the switch to finance, like there was a consequence though that I had to learn the hard way. Today, it paid off in the biggest way in can only appreciate.

One day at a time, post comment and curate is all that is required on a daily to move higher and do better for oneself.
