This actually brings up a really good point about block chain technology and patents. I was watching a video a while ago where the founder of WAX was talking about how important it is for these smaller startups and companies to patent their stuff. A lot of them are not and once the bigger institutions really get into the game they could file their own patents and basically steal the tech and the market from the original inventors and implementers. It could have some really huge consequences.
