Thanksgiving Play 2 Earn Bonanza!
Living in the US, it is fairly easy to forget that the rest of the world doesn't celebrate the same holidays that we do. While much of the country was shut down on Thursday for "Turkey Day", the Play to Earn community was eagerly anticipating several big drops.
I already explained in this post how Animal World had a big sale on Friday and I missed out on getting the legendary packs that I had been hoping for. Instead, I had to settle for a single Premium pack, but I was able to pull some mythic and legendary cards from that, so I am not totally upset.
One of the bigger pieces of news this past weekend can be seen in the image above. Grand Lands gameplay finally opened up on Thanksgiving Day from Prospectors. I am not as big into Prospectors as some people I know. I did play the last mini event they had and I was able to make a bit of PGL from that. I used some of my spare WAX and I purchased a single plot of land during the sale. It is going to be a long road to develop that piece of land. I look forward to seeing what I can make in the game though. Adding some more PGL to my stacks would never be a bad thing.
Another great surprise this weekend was the fact that the Million on Mars Land Rush game finally launched. I had picked up a couple of founders tokens in the presale and I watched with great anticipation as the packs started to be airdropped into my accounts.
I didn't get as lucky as some other people when I started opening my packs. The best land I got was a couple of Rares and the best building blueprints I got were epic. I would have liked to see some legendary or mythic, but I guess you can't win them all.
The gameplay seems to be kind of similar to Prospectors mechanics-wise. It isn't a get rich quick time of thing, it is going to be a long build, but I have the time and the patience for it.
I think I still have a couple of early access badges if anyone is interested. It will be first come first serve, and you need to have a WAX account to qualify. Just leave me a comment and I will see what I can do.
Finally, my last big news pertains to the Nine Chronicles Game that I have been playing for a little over a year now. The ETH wrapped version of the in game token briefly topped $4 yesterday. That puts it closer to the all time high of $6 that I missed in early August or so. I was afraid I would never seen the token this high again. It has since dropped down to $3.80 right now, but I was able to pull out enough to cover some crypto tax obligations I will have in Spring of next year.
There has been a fair amount of hype around this game and I just read last night that Samsung has made a pretty significant capital investment to the company. They are looking at launching a mobile version of the game next year and the game currently has a waitlist of users in the five figures. I think that is pretty positive for the project.
I have seen people projecting the token price will go up to $50. I am not sure how accurate that is, but I will continue to DCA my way out of some of the token as I see new highs.
It makes the most sense to me.
