Feel like you are failing on Hive? Push forward.

Many of us, if not all of us, at one time or another have felt like we are failing on Hive. To quote Grant Cardone: ā€œI would rather fail pushing forward than in retreat.ā€. This is a giant statement in my mind. No matter what, donā€™t give up, keep pushing every single day. If you are going to retreat, you are going to die in your efforts. No one truly wants that. Do you?

When the votes are not coming in, the comments are not coming in, no one is engaging with you, the bear market got you down, a lot of people STOP. The uncertainty builds in your mind, and you stop. Donā€™t fracking do it. That is the worse thing you can do. You got to keep pushing, pushing forward.

Some people retreat. What I mean by that is they slow down. Their posts become less often, from daily, toa a couple a week, to weekly to monthly, you get the idea. They stop engaging. Not good people. Keep pushing.

If you show up every day, post every day, engage with other Hivians every day the bad will pass, you will do better. It takes time, it takes persistence.

Albert Einstein is credited with saying ā€œinsanity is doing the same thing over and over and hoping for a different result.ā€. When it comes to Hive that correct and incorrect at the same time. I am insane when it comes to Hive. And I believe it is a fantastic thing. I do the same thing every day. I post. I engage. The bad insanity part is when things are not working by doing this and you do nothing. You must look deeply at yourself and what you are doing. Figure out what is not working for you. Find out why your votes have gone down, find out why people are not engaging with you. Take a hard long look. Then adjust.

That is what I had to do, that is why I started this series of blog posts. I got off to a rip roaring start when I started my daily posts on Leo. Votes were coming out of the ying yang. Man was I happy. Then just as quickly as it happened it all seemed to dry up. What was I going to do? I defiantly was not going to stop posting. I had to get back to what I know best. Being Mr. Positive. Put the positive back into my writing. Go for the long, long form posts. Get peopleā€™s attention again by being better. 10Xing my efforts.

Is it going to work? Only time will tell. What if it does not work? I will evaluate what I am doing and make changes as necessary. But I will not change who I am or my mission. I will change to be better at what I do. Simple really.

The whales on Hive, the people that have been here from day one, the builders keep pushing, and rightfully so, that during times of contraction, bear markets, people falling to the way side, that it is the perfect time to build. ā€œExpand your mindset and your actions.ā€. The time to do more is always but especially when everyone else is contracting.

Unfortunately, on Hive, and everywhere else, people look at price. They see their posts getting 10 cents, 1-dollar upvotes because price has contracted. What they forget is that they are still earning the same amount of Hive. When the bear is gone and the bulls are running wild the Hive you earned at 10 cents could not be worth 50 cents or 1 dollar. It is an amazing thing most people overlook. Donā€™t you do that.

People get in the mode of just needing to survive. What a mistake. Just imagine if you put in 10X efforts when things are bad. How far ahead of everyone else you are going to be when things get good, when things get fantastic again. Mind blowing really.

Everything you tell yourself about your lack of pushing forward, being slack, retracting what you are doing on the blockchain is an excuse. Sorry if you feel I am being overly blunt here. But I write this just as much for myself as I do for you. You will feel justified in your lack of effort, you will feel better in your lack of accountability to yourself. Temporally. In the long run, the future, it will come back to bite you in ass big time.

I am going to wrap up by telling you, you and only you, must take 100 percent responsibility for your actions. What you do or do not do on Hive. It is no one elseā€™s fault when your votes drop, your engagement drops. It is you alone. When you realize that and stop blaming others and start putting forth 10X the effort you are going to be amazed by the results.
