Morning Tour On Hive

I have perhaps unconsciously developed a certain Hive morning routine that I follow more or less precisely. In this post, I thought it would be fun to describe my activities and maybe sometime in the future to take a look at them again to see what has changed. So let's get to it!

While the coffee is dripping my first stop in the Hive ecosystem is to visit Rising Star. I really like the pace of this one. Unlike with some other blockchain games, you don't have to be constantly active and click every 10 minutes to keep up with the others.

For example, this morning I'll start the Acoustic Tent mission which will last for 250 minutes, and move on to concentrate on something else.

Leo Finance & Threads

With this next stop, I used to head to Leo first and read a couple of long-form posts and then move on to check the #threads. I've now changed that order to another way around. After some upvoting and commenting I often find an interesting post that someone has linked to their thread and it'll lead me to Leo Finance where I take my time reading it and usually, a couple more.

This morning I read this article by @johnwege. There's something about these detailed earning posts I really like... They might offer me a new perspective to look at my portfolio and perhaps new ideas and inspiration.

Btw, I remember reading a post yesterday stating that there are only ~500 threads made daily. Please, correct me if got this wrong but if so, it's a surprisingly low number and I'll be doing my part to change that.

I'll make it a habit to post a thread every time I open #threads. Consider this as a New Year's resolution which will also help me to achieve my LEO goals. So here we go, GM:

Splinterlands

After the first cup of coffee and a pleasant reading session, I think it's time to reward myself for the "hard" work. I head up to Splinterlands only to find out I've been quite lazy with my gameplay.

Fortunately, the season has just started and I have plenty of time to accumulate to chests.

PeakD & Hive Wallet

The next part of the tour and my morning routine will go deeper into the financial side. I open my wallet on PeakD and check the current HIVE price and claim my rewards. Looks like HIVE is up a bit since yesterday when I swapped some HBD to 6.44 HIVE, I think it was somewhere at 0.255... However, I'm not gonna swap it back but instead, feel really tempted to go to Hive-Engine to take a look at GLX price.

Hive-Engine

Before heading to H-E, let's take a little detour to Ecency where I claim my layer 2 tokens. Cool! There's some LEO there too. Btw, at this point, I usually reply to messages and Ecency is a good place to do that since it rewards you with Points that can be used to boost posts for example.

Now this here on Hive-Engine is a bit of an odd part of my morning routine. I usually sink into my thoughts and kinda automatically stake and delegate tokens. Actually, once I accidentally undelegated my CENT because I was too deep in my thoughts... But overall I see this as a calming time to plan ahead and take another cup of coffee.

About GLX, here I noticed that the bid I placed yesterday evening has gone through since GLX is down a bit. This means it's time to take care of something else.

Staking

From the engine, we move smoothly to Genesis League Sports where I'm staking GLX and a couple of packs of this upcoming game.

I'm really liking the simplicity of the UI. Staking, claiming, and transferring tokens from and to Hive-Engine is made easy. Now that all that is done I remember there's another place I need to visit.

WOO is another gaming token I'm currently staking. While the APR(44.83%) is not as high as GLXs it's still very good and I'm also HP delegation rewards with an APR of 16.13%. Now, this is really good and it has gone up just recently from ~6%.

Listnerds

If at this point I'm not totally distracted I usually check out Listnerds. First I claim my staked CTP and LISTNERDS earnings and then head up to my inbox to do some reading and curating.

This doesn't happen that often to me but I actually won 5 CTP this morning while reading posts. Nice bonus!

Listnerds is a great place to discover interesting posts and authors. And let's face it, there's something oddly satisfying in upvoting and marking a post as 'read'.

After this, I'll start working on my own posts such as this one. If I'm not feeling it I might head up back to Leo or to Veews to find inspiration and discover new stuff and authors. This is one unique platform you'll definitely have to check out if you are unfamiliar with it!

Conclusion

In the evening I do another similar session but the order may change. One thing is for sure though, it ends where it began. Before going to bed I start a longer mission on Rising Star so there's a chance to earn the maximum amount of STARBITS and my energy is back at full in the morning. The circle is complete.

Now here comes the most interesting part of this post. All of these activities and actions are earning crypto for me in one way or another. To me, the bear market is all about accumulating and there's no better place to do it than here on Hive.

There's just so much to do in this vast space and I would be interested to know what kind of a routine you follow. So if you feel like sharing, please do leave a comment.

Thank you for reading and happy New Year!
