My LEO Goals For 2023 - Staying Focused
Let's get straight to business. By the time of writing this my Leo Power is 476 which I'll get to 500 before the next year begins so it's nice to start with a round figure.
And here it is... my goal is to have 6000 LP by the end of the year 2023.
3 Main Ways To Reach My Goals

LPUD - I'll be taking part in Leo Power Up Day each month and set a certain amount that I plan to reach. This can come from various sources such as selling some layer 2 assets or from profits made outside Hive. Hopefully next autumn my Rollercoin mining farm is powerful enough so I can start withdrawing LTC and MATIC to hive-engine also.

HBD - I've set up my Hive rewards as 50/50 HP/HBD. With the HBD rewards, I'm going to buy a certain amount of LEO each month.

Posts & Comments - My main focus of LEO income will be creating quality content and actively taking part in commenting.

To monitor which way of adding to my LEO goals has gone over or under, I will be copy/pasting this chart to my future monthly updates and adding achieved columns as the January one in italics above.
If one of them is under while another one is over I'll just compensate to try to reach my monthly goal. If the total goes over I will move the exceeding amount to HBD savings to earn interest. This will also serve as my rainy day fund.
Stormy Weather Fund
This is where I have included curation and delegation rewards among some surprise LEO such as contest prizes, etc.

Curation rewards - at the moment the amount is too low to even mention even though it has risen since I got a 300 LEO delegation by participating in the previous LPUD. Perhaps in the upcoming monthly updates, I'll take it into calculation because obviously, my Leo Power has risen if and when I keep up with my goals.

Delegation Rewards - I'm delegating 300 HP to @leo.voter which earns me 0.884 LEO daily. Thinking about adding another 100 HP so that should probably go above 1 LEO and I would earn over 30 LEO monthly this way.
You might have noticed that every other month my goal is 600 and on the one following that, the goal is 400. The latter is a chill-out month, the goal is set lower but if I should make over 400 LEO I'll add the exceeding number to my stormy weather fund.
If for some reason I would really fall behind in achieving my monthly goals, this fund would help me reach the yearly goal.
Staying Focused
I've noticed the LEO price going up a couple of days before the LPUD because people are obviously stacking up for the big day. That is when I also do my buying but I've been thinking why not do smaller buys during the whole month with lower prices? Well, in my case it's just too tempting to power up when I see a larger amount of LEO that has piled up in my wallet and watch my voting power grow...
In 2023 I'll be more focused and make sure I don't derail from my way. In addition to the means, I've mentioned already I'll add a couple more:
- Make at least 2 Leo posts per week
- Increase activity on Threads(at least two post per day)
- More commenting
I'll start the year with these ones but I'm pretty sure I will come up with more and be sure to add them in next month's update!
The Year Of The Lion
To me, Leo is probably the one project on Hive with the most buzz around it. The next cool thing I'm eagerly waiting for is the new user interface of #threads which will be a great start for the new year!
I don't know about you guys but I got pretty damn excited when reading this on the contest post.
We have Ad revenue coming for Leo holders, several social initiatives, Gamification, NFTization, the new UI is coming, social media strategies, SEO and Marketing campaigns, a parent website for the LeoVerse, strengthening the DeFi side, collaborations with projects in and out of Hive, influencer marketing and much, much more.
So lots of cool stuff coming our way and I want to be a part of it. Since LEO token is the centerpiece of it I think there's no better time than now to start accumulating it!
