Postage Rates

Hi Friends,

It’s no secret that the US Postal Service has been struggling for years and has not done great job of doing its job - delivering the mail in an efficient and timely way.

Postage rates have been increasing for years, but they just announced another increase that is a much bigger jump than the usual 1 - 2 cents per increase - they are going from 51 cents to 58 cents for a standard stamp… ouch!

I am sure people wouldn’t mind paying more if the service was actually getting better, but that will likely not the be the case. Maybe time to take a look at FedEx stock again?

Of course, fewer people are using postage these days anyway, so demand is going down as well, not helping the finances of the postal service.
