I'm too busy to post. I'm working on my @v4vapp and @podping and linking Lightning to Hive.

In the meantime this finally came to me after listening to Max Hillebrand on the latest Podcasting 2.0 episode talking Bitcoin maximalism. If this piece of Monty Python isn't the inspiration for the way the top 20 (+1) elected witnesses on Hive reach consensus every few seconds, I'm not sure what is!

Dennis: We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to act as sort-of-executive officer for the week-- Arthur: Yes. Dennis: But all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special biweekly meeting-- Arthur: Yes, I see. Dennis: By a simple majority, in the case of purely internal affairs-- Arthur: [getting bored] Be quiet. Dennis: But by a two thirds majority, in the case of more major-- Arthur: Be quiet! I order you to be quiet! Dennis' Mother: Order, eh? Who does he think he is? Arthur: I am your king! Dennis' Mother: Well I didn't vote for you.

Over on Podcastindex.social Mastadon I did have a good discussion with Max after pointing out that @podping simply couldn't work on a Proof of Work chain and he's open to admit that his Bitcoin maximalism extends only to finance.

Obviously I think the financial side of Hive underpins its existence providing the incentive layer to keep the infrastructure working for all of us to use. The two are inextricably linked.
