But what is Hive-PUD ( or hive power up day ? ) ?

Hive Power Up Day has been taking place on the first day of every month since it's creation by @streetstyle on Steemit April 13th 2019. I never missed one SPUD or PUD day since. Although I am not eligible I think its fun to do, and see my wallet going to whale amounts a bit more every month.

What do you do HIVE SPUDDING ?

Well on the first day of the month ( please check that with the timetable if your are unsure and want to attend the contest ) Everyone who is able to, power up the Hive and wants to invest, on the first of the month. If you have an account that is in power down, to pause during the 24 hour span of the first of the month.

To all the people who are trading/selling Hive, to pause those transactions during the 24 hour span of the first of the month (and possibly even cancel any type of sell order on any exchanges during that time as well).

Why Power Up Hive? When you power up your liquid Hive, it gives you a number of benefits, taken from the blog and citations @ nickeyhavey

Stronger votes on content Earning more curation rewards - kinda goes with point one but the way it works is that if you upvote content, you will earn as well (known as curation rewards) so the more Hive Power you have, the more you can potentially earn back Earning "interest" by holding Hive Power - maybe you didn't know this but you will also earn HIVE passively at about 3% per year of what you currently have powered up so the more HIVE you have, the more you can earn from just holding it in your wallet. It shows that you have faith in the platfrom and love for it to grow.

So now my power up for February :

I saved all and had 910 hive tokens, and choose to power up all. I asked in the terminal if there were redfish that would want me to help them and power up an amount to qualify for the delegations to be won , and earn myself a helper bee badge, but no replies, so for all the redfish who made it this far, when you contravene anything to power up I will help you. Just send me an DM and I will see if I choose you for the next PUDDING.

I passed the : 2 5 . 0 0 0 hivepower point, on my way to orca status.
