Do you remember the movie Braveheart? I loved that story. The story of William Wallace, that is the reason we movie addicts ( read my hubby and me ) like those kinds of movies. The nature scenes, the Scottish fields, the costumes and clothing, the horses and the fighting scenes, all against the British crown is therefore well known and very populair. Less known is the story of Robert Bruce, the person Chris is playing. He who actually won the war unlike William Wallace. Netflix saw un movie original opportunity and put director David Mackenzie (who also made the movie hit Hell or High Water) to work. And with great outcome.

¿Recuerdas la película Braveheart? Me encantó esa historia. La historia de William Wallace, esa es la razón por la que a los adictos al cine (léase a mi esposo ya mí) nos gusta ese tipo de películas. Las escenas de la naturaleza, los campos escoceses, los trajes y la ropa, los caballos y las escenas de lucha, todo contra la corona británica es, por lo tanto, bien conocido y muy popular. Menos conocida es la historia de Robert Bruce, la persona que interpreta Chris. El que realmente ganó la guerra a diferencia de William Wallace. Outlaw King begins in 1306, in the aftermath of the Scottish attempt to throw off the English crown. Scottish nobility has gathered to pledge allegiance to the English crown. The scene for that ceremony is a huge one: the siege of a castle that has already surrendered. But the Prince of Wales, Edward II, refuses to accept that surrender. He must first make a point by launching a stone towards the castle with a giant catapult. Then he accepts the surrender. The message is clear: there is no mockery of the English, and will keep you in suspense. Its a must see, with popcorn.

Outlaw King comienza en 1306, a raíz del intento escocés de deshacerse de la corona inglesa. La nobleza escocesa se ha reunido para jurar lealtad a la corona inglesa. El escenario de esa ceremonia es enorme: el asedio de un castillo que ya se ha rendido. Pero el Príncipe de Gales, Eduardo II, se niega a aceptar esa rendición.
