Go To School Or End Up Poor

I grew up with the deceptive notion that conventional education was the only pathway to making something meaningful of one's life. You are not allowed to think outside the box, hell there wasn't even a box to think outside of.

SCHOOL is drilled so much into your subconscious that your psyche gets absolutely fucked up. So much undue and undeserving importance was attached to going to school that you are looked at as a castaway if you don't ultimately do so.

This makes you start setting your goals and standards as low as possible because since you didn't go to school, you are fucked - according to society.

As long as your parents could afford it, they make sure nothing else disrupts or interferes with you going to school. Your individual talents, your strengths, and your weaknesses take a back seat, school is all that should matter.

The Internet Came

The obsession with going to school and the myth that if you do not get a classroom education that you'd amount to nothing in life was busted when the internet came. Folks started making money out of nothing and a new mentality was born.

The Amazons, the AOLs, the Microsofts, the Hotmails of this world all came and slowly grew into multi-million dollar internet companies. We all know the stories of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.

All of a sudden, the notion of school equalling success was nipped in the bud. There was now a reference point for those who didn't go to school but had made something big for themselves. Not only have they made something for themselves, but they also have the best school graduates under their payroll.

These pioneers ushered in a new crop of daring dreamers, a crop of dreamers who didn't need conventional education to manifest their genius. The more young folks dared to dream, the more their bravery was rewarded.

Although the internet succeeded in introducing a shift in mentality and culture about conventional schooling, employment, and career life it wasn't thorough in leveling the playing field. I mean those earliest internet entrepreneurs needed funding to bring their ideas to life, or at least try. Their dreams might have remained just pipe dreams if they hadn't got the fundings required.

The Internet + Crypto

The internet gave people the impetus to dare, and they dared alright. Crypto was born off the back of the internet and if the internet succeeded in shifting traditional mentality, Crypto is on a mission to overhaul that mentality.

Aside from changing all the many ways people transacted business and simplifying the banking system, crypto has also succeeded in giving everybody a chance to make something out of nothing.

I call it the ultimate equalizer, because you could be financially down by 4:0 and crypto would come through, blast 5 goals into poverty's net and leave you winning 5:4 with seconds to go in the match.

Hahaha...pardon the football analogy, I am a football fan and that makes plenty sense when you think about it.

Crypto offers everybody the same opportunity to fix up their financial shortcomings and becomes prosperous. Once you have found yourself in the crypto space, as long as you are putting in some kind of effort, it's only a matter of time before it finally comes through for you. Airdrops and forks are some of the ways anybody could suddenly become rich in crypto.

About 3 months ago, lots of people who had in one way or the other interacted with AMPL token were blessed with thousands of dollars worth of FORTH. I would have gotten some myself if only I was able to withdraw my AMPL from Publish0x.

Given the amount of AMPL I had in my Publish0x wallet, the amount of FORTH I would have gotten would have been significant enough to cause a huge turnaround in my life, I didn't get it but still, I dream.
