[ESP/ENG] First challenge in Leofinance "My Best Buy - Primer reto en Leofinance "Mi Mejor Compra"

Hoy me estreno en esta comunidad, saludos cordiales para mis amigos Hivers, quiero participar en este nuevo reto o iniciativa motivada por @rutablockchain y @danielvehe quienes nos invitan a escribir sobre nuestras finanzas.

El reto de hoy tiene que ver con describir la mejor compra que se ha hecho en la vida. Estuve pensando mucho al respecto y definitivamente, la mía es la compra de un apartamento de 58 mts cuadrados, distribuido de la siguiente manera: 2 habitaciones, 1 baño, cocina, sala comedor, y un medio baño (lavamanos y poceta) ubicado en la Urbanización Parque Residencial Matalinda, Estado Miranda, Venezuela.

Today's challenge has to do with describing the best purchase ever made. I've been thinking a lot about it and mine is definitely the purchase of a 58 sq. mt. apartment, distributed as follows: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room, and a half bathroom (sink and sink) located in the Parque Residencial Matalinda Urbanization, Miranda State, Venezuela.

Luego de haber contraido nupcias, mi esposo y yo decidimos anotarnos en un proyecto de comprar un inmueble en maqueta, esta transacción se hizo en el año 2008. Nos dieron la opción de pagar la inicial, que para ese momento era de Bs. 20 millones; fraccionada en varias cuotas mientras se contruía el inmueble, éste no los habían ofrecido para los próximos dos años siguientes. Cosa que no ocurrió así.

I want to tell you how this story happened. After getting married, my husband and I decided to sign up for a project to buy a model home, this transaction was made in 2008. We were given the option to pay the initial payment, which at that time was Bs. 20 million, divided into several installments while the property was being built, this had not been offered for the next two years. This did not happen.

La contratista nos estafó y huyó del país con nuestro dinero. Mi esposo y Yo con el tiempo nos separamos, él se fue y se desentendió del asunto. Yo, por mi parte seguí pendiente del proceso, hice denuncias en el Indepabis; Instituto que respaldaba a los ciudadanos contra los extorsionadores y estafadores de oficio. Para ese momento funcionaban las Instituciones en este país y protegían a las personas de gente inescrupulosas como el Consorcio Consortuy C.A.

The contractor swindled us and fled the country with our money. My husband and I eventually separated, he left and got out of the way. I, for my part, continued to follow the process, filing complaints with Indepabis; an institute that supported citizens against extortionists and swindlers by trade. At that time the institutions in this country were functioning and protecting people from unscrupulous people like the Consorcio Consortuy C.A.

El gobierno asumió la obra y la concluyó, pasaron 6 años en ese proceso de reuniones, entrega de documentos, devoluciones de los mismos, solicitudes y un sin fin de procesos burocráticos para la solicitud de un Crédito Hipotecario. Mis hermanas y otras personas me dijeron que desistiera de eso, que era una burla, que era mentira y con mi sueldo de profesora, no me iban a otorgar ningún Crédito Hipotecario. Sin embargo, gracias a mi perseverancia y optimismo continué con el papeleo.

The government assumed the work and concluded it. Six years went by in this process of meetings, delivery of documents, returns, applications and an endless number of bureaucratic processes for the application of a Mortgage Credit. My sisters and other people told me to give it up, that it was a mockery, that it was a lie and with my teacher's salary, they were not going to grant me any Mortgage Credit. However, thanks to my perseverance and optimism I continued with the paperwork.

Para ese momento (2008) el apartamento estaba valorado en Bs. 79.500.000,00; hubo una devaluación de la moneda unos años después, en el 2014 me aprobaron el crédito, y el precio quedó en Bs. 79.500,00 y el dólar a tasa del Banco Central de Venezuela (B.C.V) en Bs. 10,00. El 12 de abril me entregaron las llaves, recibí un crédito por 30 años, para pagar mensual Bs. 152,75. Volvieron a devaluar la moneda en el año 2018 quitándole cinco ceros a la moneda.

At that time (2008) the apartment was valued at Bs. 79,500,000.00; there was a currency devaluation a few years later, in 2014 I was approved for the loan, and the price was set at Bs. 79,500.00 and the dollar at the rate of the Central Bank of Venezuela (B.C.V) at Bs. 10.00. On April 12, I was given the keys and received a 30-year credit to pay monthly Bs. 152.75. They devaluated the currency again in 2018, taking five zeros off the coin.

Mi país Venezuela; en estos momentos, vive la peor hiperinflación de su historia, nuestra moneda local quedó pulverizada, no vale nada, todo se compra y vende en doláres ($) situación que muchos no saben enfrentar, porque se gana en bolívares; otros no la saben manejar y la gran mayoría no entienden quien la puede controlar. Para finalizar, debo decir que mi apartamento hoy día está valorado en $ 6,500.00. En consecuencia esta es Mi mejor Compra. ¿Y la tuya? ¿Cuál es?
