CIB: Crypto I Bought #3 - Livepeer, The Graph, Aave, PLEO-WMATIC AND CUB-BUSD Staking

I found some stray LPT tokens and explored ways to sell them and stake them somehow on CubDefi. Also did the regular staking of LEO tokens on PolyCUB farm. And then the regular walk through charts on my altcoin portfolios.

Portfolio News

I will work out a format for doing this - to start latest status on PolyCUB Airdrop.

Bought

The Graph (GRTETH): GRT is one of the tokens that came out in my last Rising Ten portfolios. I have a small holding which is under water relative to ETH - the chart suggests price may be breaking the next downtrend. Added another $100 worth to my holding to average down (41% lower than first tranche)

Aave (AAVEETH): Aave (formerly LEND) was in one of my 2018/19 portfolios. Price has been falling steadily from mid 2021 and has had one failed attempt to break the downtrend. Chart is showing that it is having another go. I averaged down my latest holding from November 2021 on the latest break (18% lower than last tranche).

Aave runs a Defi lending platform. As interest rates rise, borrowing from banks gets harder. This could explain the move up in price the day the Federal Reserve raises rates and talks of 6 more.

Sold

Livepeer Token (LPTBUSD): When I was digging around in MyEtherWallet, I found a smallish parcel of LPT tokens. I can only guess they arrived there from some mining activity I was doing way back when. LPT is a token for a Ethereum-based video transcoding service called Livepeer. The holding was worth $49. I explored a few paths to swap to something else - swap costs were high and quite a few bids were more than the value of the tokens. Best I could find was around $23. Then I noticed LPT was listed on Binance - so I transferred them there for $2.97 in fees

and sold them for BUSD =- why BUSD? So I could stake them in a CUB Finance Farm (see below).

Staking

PLEO-WMATIC on Polycub

My holding of LEO went over 50 LEO - plan is to migrate these to PolyCUB farming each time they go over. Process steps

  1. Convert LEO to PLEO using Wleo.io. It is a simple process of adding in Metamask address on Polygon mainnet and Hive user ID and signing off the transaction. As I have done this before I already have the PLEO token imported into Metamask

  1. Create a WMATIC-PLEO pool from PolyCUB Farms link. This happens on SushiSwap - I already have WMATIC coins in place.

  1. Stake PLEO-WMATIC LP from Polycub - just hit the + button and confirm

  1. Staking for 646% (773% APY is Mar 18 rate)

CUB-BUSD on CubDefi

With the sale of LPT for BUSD above I went about setting up a CUB-BUSD Farm. Process steps

  1. Sell LPT for BUSD on Binance. I had a few extra BUSD there to deploy as well
  2. Transfer the BUSD from Binance to Metamask - be sure to have the Binance Smart Chain linked address. I use one address for everything - stops mistakes.

  1. Buy enough CUB from CubDefi link to cover the farm. I added a few more to round out my purchase to $100 worth of ETH. For this transation, I chose to sell ETH, which I already have wrapped and sitting in Bianance Smart Chain. The purchase happens on PancakeSwap. I tried Paraswap but it would not load the CUB contract this time

  1. Create the CUB-BUSD LP from CubDefi farms link. This happens on PancakeSwap

  1. Stake the CUB-BUSD LP - just hit the + button on CubDefi farming tab and sign the transaction.

  1. Staking at 86% (Mar 18 rates)
  2. Stake balance of CUB coin in Kingdoms

Pay attention to other rates CAKEPOP-BUSD is now at 117% - liquidity is low. Do your own research - this one looks creepy from the outset - last man standing seems to be the loser.
