Creative Coin Fund Investor Report: An "Awesome" Assist
Welcome to the Creative Coin Fund Investor Report.
We continue to see strong support from investors through CCC delegations to the Fund.
This week, four new investors joined our team, and 24 increased the size of their delegation. Our total delegations now stand at 1,716,834 CCC from 122 delegators.
Two longtime investors, @ange.nkuru and @oblivioncubed, increased their delegation to reach the 10,000 CCC delegation threshold and begin receiving our CCC-WIT-CCC payout trifecta.
Thankfully, we received an 'awesome' assist this week from @flaxz of the This Is Awesome curation project, who provided us with a Python script to automate our payouts! The APR for CCC delegations to @cccf is variable (based on the average monthly price of CCC): the rate for January is 28 percent.
Market Updates
The purpose of the Creative Coin Fund is to provide the artists of Hive with a substantial CCC upvote, and to make that vote meaningful by supporting the steadily rising price of Creative Coin.
We're supporting the price of CCC with three mechanisms:
The daily market purchase is a market order for CCC of 10 to 15 Hive daily.
- Through January 27: minimum 10 Hive
The base buy-in order is a limit order meant to establish the price support for the market. The buy-in order is updated weekly on Thursdays.
- Current Price: .002950
- Order Size: 132 Hive for 44,725 CCC
The daily limit order is a buy set daily at a price above the base buy-in order.
- Current Price: .003112
- Order Size: 15.56 Hive for 5,000 CCC
In last week's Investor Report we wrote:
With the buy-in market mechanism, delegators, the community at large, and the Creative Coin Fund can work together to produce a steadily rising Creative Coin price. We simply have to agree not to sell CCC at the published buy-in price ... and the Creative Coin Fund will raise that price every week!
This seems to have been effective as only a couple people sold to the buy-in after publication and the buy-in order has remained untouched since Tuesday. Consequently, we are in a good position to meet our threefold objective with the buy-in this Thursday. That objective is to (1) raise our price; (2) increase the order size (we have 42.5 Hive to add to the current 132 Hive); and (3) set an order that is likely to stand as a support through the week.
To assist the community in collaborating with us on price, we will continue to publish our new buy-in price through a D.Buzz post when we set it on Thursdays, and it will be reposted here in the Investor Report on Mondays.
The daily limit order has also performed well this week, triggering the bid bots in the market daily to slowly bring up the lowest buy bids. We have 60 Hive remaining of the 70 'extra' Hive we received from the biweekly fiat contribution on January 13 to continue this process before we return to funding the daily limit order with our token drips and earnings.
With the crash in the price of Hive, we hope to do well from the biweekly fiat contribution we receive this Thursday, and substantially increase the Hive we have for the daily market purchase over the next two weeks.
An Awesome Assist
With news of the WIT airdrop, the number of delegators to the Fund doubled, and that number continues to grow. We also added WIT staking reward payouts to our usual weekly delegation payouts. It was taking about 3 hours to manually enter all those payouts.
Enter @flaxz of This Is Awesome. Within 24 hours of asking for his help, he had provided the Fund with a Python script to automate the process, and helped @cliffagreen learn how to use it. The script cuts the payout process from 3 hours to about 10 minutes!

The This Is Awesome curation project was one of the early Creative Coin Fund partners. In August, they began supporting the Fund by following our curation trail, and the Fund delegated 50,000 CCC (now 70,000) to the project. They also assisted Creative Coin by increasing distribution of our token through delegation payouts to their delegators and beginning a weekly purchase of CCC from the market.
This Is Awesome continues to follow our curation trail with a 15 percent vote. This follow is significant for the artists of #creativecoin: while the Fund provides a huge CCC vote, This Is Awesome substantially increases the amount Hive an @cccf vote awards.
Help Wanted: Front End Manager
The Creative Coin Fund is looking for a front end manager to join our team.
We are eternally grateful to Hive witness @igormuba for his work on the front end; without him, the creativecoin.live front end simply would not exist. However, we need someone with more time to devote to maintaining the front end. In addition, @igormuba presently hosts the front end (for free!) on the same server as his witness node, and this presents a security issue for the back end photo hosting services we need to add to make the front end fully functional.
The front end manager will need to
- Be available to respond within 12 to 24 hours when technical issues arise with the front end;
- Oversee the transition from @igormuba's server to another TBD server;
- Direct open source development work (and contribute to development) through our GitHub.
We're pleased that we were able to take the initial step of providing a second front end for the Creative Coin community. Now we are eager to begin developing it into one of the premiere community front ends on Hive. The front end manager position presents an excellent opportunity for a developer who would like to 'make their mark' in the Creative Coin community and Hive in general.
