FOMO's Into Doge, Here's What I Learned

So where do I start? FOMO is a new thing for me because honestly other than a little BTC in 2013 I've just been hyper-focused on steem/hive/leo-steem.

I never ventured out into the world but with Leofinance comes education and if you have any sense of reading comprehension, you learn stuff. Me learning is not good!

I like earning instead of investing because I'm bad at it. During it's entire existence I heard Dodge was a joke. It is but wtf?

I FOMO'd in at a former top. It was $.41 and then it dumped on me. I had hive burning a hole in my pocket because it was moving or shaking.

I bought $900 worth of Dodge and honestly, it was a good experience because I had to go through the steps and do it. So there's that part. Good for me.

But I parted with half my precious hive for dodge and it felt bad. But I figured it had a better chance of moving than hive because, well, you know why.

I also figured that today, being the day before SNL, that it would rise today and I could sell before "The News" on Saturday night.

As it started to break into the $.70 range today I felt pretty good and then I little dump came and when it hit $.66 I got out! Again I felt weird because, well, you know why.

I basically traded $900 worth of Hive for $1500 in USD. That's pretty freaking great right? It took about 2 weeks but guess what?

I have total FOMO. What am I going to miss out on with Dodge. It will probably break out tonight but how far? Will it hit the $.80's leading up to SNL and then hit $1? And then what??

The Fomo is real but here's what I learned. I only got my hands on 2195 Dodge in the first place. It was expensive at $.41 and without the hype I would have lost most of it. And guess what?

No matter what I didn't own enough to change my life, not even it went to $5. But losing $900 would have gutted me. I made it out safe and have $1500 usd.

The fact is that anyone who is just starting to talk about Dodge is too late. To make life-changing money you'd have to risk a ton and risk it on something you have no control over.

But on Hive/Leo you can invest in yourself and pull out money as you need depending on how hard you work. That's just the plain facts of the matter. We can earn money here. It's slow and steady but it is real.

So while I FOMO in my head about Dodge, I will continue to grind on Hive/Leo and hope it is the next big thing. We all know it should be.
