I've been playing the hive-based game Rising Star for a few weeks and doing my missions trying to collect starbits and leveling up but I had hit a lull.

I finally made it out of my "Home Town" and onto the "Local Gig" circuit but couldn't do anything because of my lack of fans.

I needed to have at least 400 to the first mission which was "Radio Interview". But, I only had a few cards and the fans I gained from missions would disappear after a day and I rarely had even 300 which was enough to do the "Saturday Headline" mission on the first level.

So basically I did missions to mine starbits and once every couple of days the stars aligned and I had enough fans and battery life to do a Saturday Headline for some starbits. It was ok for me because I didn't want to spend money or crypto on cards but I started wondering what would happen if I had a consistent 400 fans that didn't "wake up" and I could do Local Gig Circuit Missions. Would it be more fun? I needed to know.

So I saw where I could buy 10 packs of cards with $30 via paypal and in a weak moment, I did it. I didn't really care what cards I got as long as I had enough fans to try some Level 2 missions. It turns out I added about 1500 fans with my new cards and could get going. I was able to do my first Radio Interview and even though it was a 5-minute "mine" for little reward I learned that I needed to get 10 of them under my belt to do the next mission, and so on and so on.

So I learned what was waiting for in the Local Gig Circuit and I will mine away on level 2 for a while. I think it will earn me more starbits than Level one but also a lot more ego. If this sounds strange to you as a reader it was to me as well a few weeks ago. I couldn't make heads or tales of this game but it was easy to start. They give you everything you need to get started for free doing an illegal busker mission so go ahead and start.

The one thing I didn't want to happen was to be on the sidelines of a hive game just it case it took off in the future like Splinterlands did. I'm not sure about @risingstargame Future but you can earn NFTs and Starbits to trade if you choose to. I like it and I'm trying to earn 1,000,000 Starbits.
