I'm sure I can't be the only one who has noticed the omission of an in site search feature on https://leofinance.io/ . You know the little search bar on the top of a site that lets you find stuff on the site.

There are several reasons for the need but here are just a few that make it crucial in my book. (Hint: Because The Dev Team Rocks!)

Yep, that's the biggie. But could a dev team rock if they didn't put in a search element?

Simple. The @leofinance guys are implementing a feature in 2021 that brings content back from the dead. Literally a content defibrillator!. Here's what I mean.

We all know that you can only earn on content here for 7 days. Then after that people can read it and ideally it will be indexed somewhere in google for people to find, but you don't earn anything. So it's kind of forgotten about it.

But soon you will be able to beat your dead horses. I'm not sure how exactly the tech works but @leofinance will add some type of new way to earn in the comment section of content and restart the earn clock. And this can happen over and over on that content.

Pretty cool right? I think so. But that is just one reason we need a search tool.

The big one for me has to do with something called an internal linking strategy. It's a big part of SEO and organic growth of the traffic to the platform.

From a high level its just pieces of content on the site linking to other pieces of content. Most importantly, related content.

Ideally, let's say some author wrote a piece of content talking about how to set up a wallet on Brave brower and you were really into brave. You could write your content on Brave and link over to the other author's content about how to set up a wallet.

Seems like it wouldn't do much to grow the site but Google would begin to see signs that LeoFinance may have something to do with Brave content and would dig deeper into the site looking for proof. If Google finds out they're right, they will start suggesting Leo content when people search for things about brave.

That's a simple scenario and would actually take lots of brave content but that is how it would work. Imagine over the next few years that Brave content creators her would create their own web of interlinked content about Brave. That's an internal linking strategy and Google likes that!

But the most simple use for a search feature, especially a robust one that searches not only topic and title but text within a post is user experience.

Finding stuff you are looking for is an important piece of user experience and will keep people on the site longer. (time on site/bounce rate is a ranking feature of google)

For example. I read a lot of stuff on here and every once in awhile I know I want to come back to an article to reread and learn something.

Recently I read an article that mentioned and arbitrage opportunity happening right here on the blockchain. I wanted to learn more but forgot to bookmark it. Now I can't find it and my feed is just too long to keep searching.

So just being able to search "arbitrage" get some results and find what I want would enhance the user-friendliness of the site and help with bounce rate.

In a nutshell for those who don't really care just know this. Having a robust search element on the https://leofinance.io/ would be a good thing for you and for organic growth. Just trust this crazy ole marketer lol
