The Sandbox Alpha Launches | Game Passes as the Entry point Item | and What to Expect

Hello Guys, have you heard?! The long-awaited Blockchain Open-world Exploration game is finally here and it's bigger than ever, Is it really?

So I've been following The Sandbox Blockchain game ever since September when I got into the ins of Play2Earn, and I've been hugely excited about it;

The Sandbox about a week ago released news that their first Alpha release is gonna take place on the 29th of November (that's right, tomorrow), and well I thought I had to share the news and details with you guys over here on Hive, so those that want's in early can.

It's no doubt that as Hive expands, we're gonna see more games like this, but for now - it does absolutely no harm to look forth to other blockchains and explore the games they are building

Let me correct this early on; So, it happens that The Sandbox has previously been actually "A game", it's available on steam since its initial release in 2012, therefore this current hype is literally an advanced remake based on yet an open-world exploration game where crafting virtual worlds AND on the blockchain. Let's get into the details of The Sandbox Alpha release;

Early Guys in Sandbox | Did I hear Only with Game Passes?

Oof, everywhere I look there are restrictions or rather survival of the fittest shit. But I tell Myself; Expect more of this Chel, you gonna see it a lot, especially in the Metaverse!

And as well, The Sandbox with their latest Alpha is set to regulate the number of players who can get in early on the rewards, and in a certain perspective, this creates that atmosphere of competition and demand that drives their value up. As for me, I'm gonna do what it takes to get an entry allowance as long as it's a healthy competition. Entry Allowance perse comes in the form of Game Passes.

Game Passes In The Sandbox

There's gonna be a governance ticket called Game Pass that determines the number of experiences players in the Sandbox Alpha would be able to enjoy in its release. This ticket decides the number of experiences you can play in the Alpha Hub. The Alpha hub is the home of the Alpha release of The Sandbox, as I hinted earlier, it holds a compilation of gaming experiences created by some of the best game makers and artists in their community. Holding Game passes allows you to experience i.e play the different game experiences. There is 18 experience in total, with a game pass you get to play all of them, and without a game pass, you can play only 3 out of the 18(fair eh?)

Acquiring Game Passes

There are a few simple ways, three in total, to get a Game Pass;

1. Be the owner of Land(or rather, be the owner of sandbox "virtual" land). This way, you qualify for a raffle ticket where landowners are drawn for game passes. The more land you have, the more tickets in the form of a raffle you qualify for. And the higher your chances of winning a Game Pass. Are you interested in this method? Because Land is still available to buy on Sandbox Opensea, and be quick because this chance closes in just 1 day, immediately before the Alpha officially releases.

2. You can also purchase a Gamepass from sellers on Opensea

3. The last method is to compete in contests for Game Passes( Contents would be held regularly through their social media), this kicks off once the Alpha hub is released of course.

One thing I can pinpoint immediately is that everyone has a fair chance, those with land are not guaranteed a game pass, but they stand the highest chance of winning one especially if they have more than one land. It's a shame I didn't buy land during the land sale, I was just too much interested in Splinterlands to look elsewhere. And the daily contests are something no one knows yet how it should hold. Would only 1 game pass be available to win per day? I hope not, because it's gonna be real feisty.

Game Pass rewards | Betting your time on the Future

Now, with all the buzz I'm getting from these Game passes, I expect it to be real good( Not the game passes, I mean rewards xD). AND IT IS.

Hear this; The Alpha Rewards promises that Players can win up to 1000 Sand tokens and 3 Alpha NFTs. I was a bit confused here until I clarified that, it isn't a combined rewards pool - Each player can actually win that prize, Not every Alpha Game pass Holder get's to compete for that(you get the difference). That's really cool for the first release of the game.

Holding just One (1 is all that is required) Game pass, guarantees that you can claim any rewards you accumulate by the end of the Alpha season, on Dec 20. Rewards can stack up in levels, based on the achievements and quests you complete starting from Level 1 through to 5. Take a look;

I was cracking up, whilst informing myself on how Alpha rewards would work. Why?; The Sandbox apparently allows for you to transfer your game pass to a friend or whatever, so they can experience more games and level up their rewards, and that same friend can give you the pass back. You and a buddy can literally share 1 game pass across the 18 experiences available, BUT only one person can use that game pass to claim rewards on Dec 20 when the Alpha season ends. That was when I realized fully that; This is exactly the kind of community I wanna be a part of, I don't know, it kind of displays a certain transparency and selflessness that matters to me. Hopefully, they don't fuck it up!

Let's Highlight the Key Points;

• It officially ends on Dec 20th running for about 3 weeks
• Alpha Hub would come with 18 game experiences for players to enjoy
• A Game Pass is needed to enjoy all 18 experiences
• Those without a Game Pass can play just 3 of the 18 experiences
• All Game Pass Holders Stand the chance to win 1000 Sand tokens and 3 Alpha NFTs claimable by Dec 20.

Normally, I would appreciate any Open World game because I love them. That is the first thing that caught my interest with The Sandbox, an exploration game in voxel pixel style with many quests to complete and win rewards, what more could I ask for?.
