7 reasons why you'll see me using Hive on a daily basis!
Is it weird for me to say I'm loving hive? Well, a few months back I was having difficulty understanding this decentralized platform so much that I had thought of quitting. That would have been the worst decision of my life because if I look back at how my life in a year has been since I found Hive I'll say that there's a lot of more advantages than disadvantages.
Like @katerinaramm I also find myself checking my Hive feed first thing in the morning and also last thing in the night. It has become an habit, one that I can't ever find myself stopping. I think it's fair to say that I think about Hive more than I did the last girl I dated and even as sad as it sounds I wish I could dedicate more time to especially engaging in the Leofinance Community and contributing to the communities growth.
I came into the system as a novice, both to crypto and content writing. If someone had told me "dude you'll be owning a blog soon", I'll laugh my ass out and call the person crazy, but here I am today in a decentralized platform that offers so much for the average individual. So this post would be outlining some of the reasons why I show up every day.
How many hours a day do you spend on Hive?
On days when I go about engaging and enjoying contents that great authors have put up, I think I spend close to four hours, it might not be at a stretch but I come online from time to time to check for replies to comments I've made and comments on my posts. But on other days when I just make a post and go out to carry out my normal daily activities it can be around 2hours.
Do you often visit other decentralized social media?
No, Hive is the only decentralized social media that has sparked my interest so I'm sticking with her.
Why do you use Hive on a daily basis?
1. Stake
Hive is a great place to be and for you to actually hold any influence you'll have to have the right amount of stake in the system. Staking your hive actually is you helping the community grow, and it also gives you a chance to be part of project voting. So it's only normal for me to show up everyday, posting, commenting and doing the best I can do to help myself and at the same time help the community.
2. Learning
Before Hive I had no prior knowledge of writing but since I joined Hive I've met a lot of great authors who I've been able to learn from, great story writers, well informed financial advisers and all kinds of things you'd think of. In the short span of one year I can boldly say I've become a better writer and I've learnt a lot about Crypto and Crypto trading and I must say it has improved me as an individual.
3. Family
Whenever I find myself in a place where I feel like I'm welcomed I always tend to stay. Hive has been that place for me. The amount of support I've received here is tremendous, never have I ever received such before anywhere. I've met people who've helped me improve myself as an individual, I've made friends from different parts of the country and we've all grown to become a family and every day I show up here to be with my family.
4. Footing bills
Hive has given me the opportunity to earn enough to take care of some of my bills. The beauty about hive is you're actually doing virtually nothing but you're earning a lot more than some people earn a full time job. I've seen people get enough to buy themselves a car, some have had enough to pay for their rents, some enough to support their ageing parents and take of their family. Hive is becoming a full time job to many and it's truly changing a lot of lives.
5. Future
I have this strong believe in the Hive ecosystem and I know for sure that it is the future of web 3.0. There's so much that Hive as achieved in such a short time and there's still so much to achieve and with a lot of exposure we'll get there. I'm so much banking on Hive and with the Help of the Leofinance.io team and their new projects I know for certain that great things are coming, hive is going to change the metaverse and the world as a whole, I'm happy to be part of the winning time.
6. Creating connections
There's no better place to make the right set of connections. The only way up the ladder is through a line of great connections and hive makes that pretty easy. They're a lot of different people with different experiences and different abilities, graphics designers, estate valuers, content experts, financial gurus and even Coders. There's a little of everything here and I'm looking to harness that really well.
7. Interacting with the community
It's great to see that you can actually relate with a whole set of individuals who have like minds with you. Hive has helped me to do that, it has helped to grow my interaction and also be able to relate well with other people. Going around curating posts, commenting and participating in contests are a great way to interact with the community and it makes me show up every day as excited as the last.
