What's a good, realistic, and pretty safe APR (investment)?
According the someone who knows a thing or two about money things, Dave Ramsey, the answer is 12%. Here's what I found online..
I first discovered Dave Ramsey and his wise advice about personal finance many many years ago in the form of a audiobook. It was nice to see something from him again.
He is basing his response on the past performance of the S&P 500, which is just a combination of the top 500 publicly traded companies.
(but what if the market crashes?)
I wanted a second opinion to compare and found this..
and here's the list on there..
Naturally, I want the highest APR (Annual Percentage Rate, also called APY for annual % yield), so I clicked on the #1..
and got this list of 'high-yeild' savings accounts. From this list, I would choose from the top institutions that I know and trust. So, I can expect an AWESOME APR of 3.3%
OK, I think I'm liking Dave's option wayyyyyy better.
But Wait..
I seem to remember a little thing I know of called HIVE (as in HP) and HBD.
Currently, I am averaging 12% on my HP (curation rewards, plus hive gives 3% APY on HP) or a hiver might keep some HBD in saving and earn 20% APR!!
