Looks like I will be included in something called a class action lawsuit .. which by googles definition is…

Googles meaning

A class action, also known as a class-action lawsuit, class suit, or representative action, is a type of lawsuit where one of the parties is a group of people who are represented collectively by a member or members of that group.

In short it just means a couple of people decided to sue DoorDash for what ever reason.. I will share this reason below.. so they than hire an attorney and than the attorney will move forward with a class action law suit which will included people that worked from x date to x date and will get compensation for what ever the reasoning being .. that is if the Judge passes the suit.

That is just my quick understanding, I have been included in a couple of these in the past.

Let me share with you the text of the notice and also share the why?

NOTICE OF PROPOSED CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT
AND FINAL APPROVAL HEARING

Marko v. DoorDash, Inc. , Case No. BC659841 (L.A Sup. Ct.)

A proposed settlement has been reached in the above-referenced cases brought on behalf of the following individuals:

The California Settlement Class:

All individuals who entered into an agreement with DoorDash to use the DoorDash mobile application to offer delivery services to customers in California from August 30, 2016 through December 31, 2020, and performed at least one delivery in California from August 30, 2016 through December 31, 2020.

The California Settlement Class excludes all such individuals who have entered into separate settlement agreements with DoorDash to settle and release all of their misclassification-related claims for the same time period.

So it seems that a settlement has come to an agreement of 100 millions dollars which will be benefiting delivery drivers in California and who claim they were improperly classified as contractors. Even though prop 22 was passed… seems a bit odd.

So I completed my form and now I await for the monies to hit and pump up Utopis!

It does seem like $28 million has been set aside for those thieving lawyers, and an estimated $130 for each Dasher who makes a claim.

That seems legit . A whole $130 going into the fund.

If you like to see other happy drivers talking about this settlement check out
