The California State Legislature is considering new legislation that could negatively impact Gig Worker's ability to earn money on delivery platforms like DoorDash, this does not surprise me one bit.. but as Prop 22 passed we should be able to overcome this one as well.

More than ever, Dashers have been super essential to all communities, delivering essentials such as food and groceries over the last year to California residents who where/are under lockdown due to the pandemic.

Unfortunately, the California legislature’s actions could mean Gig workers will earn less money, more specifically food Delivery Services...

Politicians are considering proposals that could raise prices on consumers, which in turn could result in fewer opportunities drivers when its the most profitable for us!

This proposed law could also hurt the small businesses it’s claiming to help by interfering with DoorDash’s ability to provide services tailored to each restaurant’s needs.

Legislators will be deciding whether to support these restrictions over the next month, sure lets hit the American people while there is a Pandemic.. and all I picture them saying is "Lets get more taxes out of them to line our own pockets"

Sad news for sure.

Also looks like Doordash itself made over 2.8 Billion dollars... talk about cornering the market, no crises is ever left unprofitable.
