With the gaming industry bubble collapsing, this may be Blockchain games time to shine. The reason being the unethical approach of most triple A studios is a stark contrast with Blockchain games which can be viewed as more indie style gaming.

You see to me this is a natural progression of the nostalgia boom brought about via the pandemic & social isolation. Now that restrictions slowly lift that market has lost a considerable amount of customers.

Add to this the crunch culture studios are infamous for & their disregard for product testing. The fact that developer & player agency are taken seriously with blockchain games is starting to look quite good by comparison.

While yes both markets have bad apples its much more prevalent with traditional video games. Mabey now consumers in the mainstream market will recognize the value of asset ownership & player agency in the form of governance.

Ill get off my soapbox though I would like nothing more then to lambast the gaming industry that's not what most are here for so....

Today ill do a deep dive into WAX & HIVE P2E games what sets them apart & why you should definitely keep an eye on them respectfully. As always giveaways & all the bells & whistles lets get on with it.

Splinterlands

Splinterlands legitimately my favorite video game has been undergoing some changes as of late. For starters rewards for ranked matches getting a bit of a overhaul gone are the quest potions & drastically altered are its earning mechanisms for DEC.
Fret not while yes it seems to be at first a loss especially to those that utilize the quest potions regularly. Splinterlands devs have done this to stabilize the quest reward value for players. This is right before they add 12 more rewards cards I dont want to go into odds & probability factoring in to the rewards card value but its likely they will all increase in price eventually even the current ones.

Add to this the new rewards distribution odds being based upon rank & other player stats including colection + cards played. This should help lessen the impact of bad apples strictly abusing the prior system. See unlike the traditional gaming industry the unethical practices are actually more common amongst us the consumers.

Now that I have accused you of market manipulation & mass murder lets get back to the Splinterlands economic system.

Good now that I have sufficiently pissed everyone off, the rewards mechanisms being retooled, the SPS Node licenses going on sale, are signs of what's coming down the update pipeline. SPS rewards & delegation of vote weight + the ability to basically endorse pro players for a SPS delegators ROI.🤤

The beginning of the SPS Splinterlands Crescendo as it where which regardless of your feelings on the quest potions is something to be excited about. Bipolar viral marketing go from murder to optimism in less then a paragraph I guess its something not seen before....

Questionable mental stability aside for the moment, I have been playing Splinterlands for a few years now & usually changes that seem bad can be for the markets own good. Newbies dont recognize the potion on the left of this image, do you know there use to be 4 potions Quest potions, Gold potions, Legendary potions & mystery potions.

Nerd history is my shit ill remember this stuff tell I die, so the Mystery Potions would qualify holders for a daily raffle of sorts you could win cards packs & even land plots.

Mystery Potions where like a Konomi code for capitalism it was just to good to last. 👆,👇👆,👇,👈,👉,👈,👉,B,A,B,A, Select, Start you now have all the moneys.

Since Games like Splinterlands both impact the global economy as well as have their own internal economic system changes may sometimes need to happen you personally dont agree with.

This one even dives into data compression & its relation to global econ explaining the danger of the Pokémon PC storage. Childish topics are not always meaningless these games & collectables affect the worlds economic systems.

The danger is even more readily apparent in games like Splinterlands being that there is a monetary incentive. Heavy is the head that wears the crown & I for one dont envy the position this puts P2E game creators in.

Now I have gone over how Pokémon are dangerous, lets give those that stuck with me some actionable info.

My advice bling out your colection rent them if you got to you want gold & old cards but a good mix of both dont use the loaner cards if at all possible.

See the cards with the S the game provides players free of charge think of them like they are radioactive avoid at all costs.

For those still upset the quest potion just vanished think of it this way the 750 DEC your daily quest potion cost you just got added to your rental budget.

Since the new rewards mechanisms will focus on how well you play & what cards you play with beef up that deck & (get good) as it where.

Referencing of course the (get good) mentality of Dark Souls players, no complaining just get good. Genuinely enjoy the Splinterlands game play experience & the RNG gods tend to favor you more in my experience. I memorized every card its abilities & level requirements for their usage, granting me greater understanding of what to play in every situation. Just have fun & greet every match as a learning opportunity above all remember its just a game one hell of a game at that.

Here is a tip about the new rewards cards & a soon to be fixed game exploit, I hesitate to share these when I find them because information is dangerous in the wrong hands.

So the new rewards cards will be introduced soon some will have the Reflection Shield ability meant to my guess nurf a exploit.
So Reflection Shield cancels damage from thorns & magic reflect Which on their own are devastating.
You combo it with the Amplify ability & now your talking unfair.
Amplify makes thorns & magic reflect deal double damage use healing abilities with that your nearly unbeatable.

We can rest easy knowing the Rewards cards to be released soon will fix this exploit. Not to say it will be unusable it will just have a possible weakness it previously didn't.

Elaborate on NFT projects which collaborate

Yes I'm proud of myself for that title, as I should be. Braggadocios self aggrandizing aside for a moment, this section I will go over a few NFT projects on EOS, HIVE, or WAX which make collaboration their prerogative. Same as crypto market was in the beginning the NFT market is difficult to properly navigate. Many are strictly in it to promote their own project which is fine but those reaching across the aisle to help one another are the projects I value most.

1UP My favorite Tribe to haunt on HIVE is 1UP why well my content is entirely NFT based so the NFT blog & I, it seems like we should resonate.

That we do as its a great resource for finding projects & leads in the NFT industry as well as promote my own NFT colection #stashpass.

BTW I have a few thoughts on something concerning 1UP cartel NFTs assuming @flauwy ever attempts a HIVE NFT line I have a neat Idea.

Beast Gardens Earnings Update

Last post I uploaded I explained how Beast Gardens plant packs are the money maker of this colection at the moment. I opened the plant pack in the post above which costs roughly $2 to craft & got a plant which sold for $10 shown below. At 1 plant per $2 pack which may contain a common plant paying back only $1.15 when sold this can be a little risky. However its a matter of how many losses you can afford to withstand before you run out of colterol.

At a singular purchase possible IE $2 to spend the likely hood of success is nil, However if you drop like $20 into this giving you 10 packs the odds of negating all losses even profiting increase significantly.

Play to Earn its kind of in the title you play to earn fool, you will need several Beast NFTs like the kind ill give away today. 3 of them are required to play a match as well as 100 BGFOCUS which is generated by owning the Beast NFTs.
The more BGFOCUS you leverage per match the tougher the match but the greater the rewards for winning. Personally I prefer 300 BGFOCUS per match not to little not to much just right. Choose your 3 Beasts the game tells you the strength & weakness of the opposing Beasts choose accordingly. Though I increase stake I dont increase difficulty as it skews the statistical probability of misses or critical hits to much in their favor. Now Note the Bonus % of BGALPHA awarded per match won by me personally this isn't stock you need to invest in the Battle pass system.
Oh buddy is Battle pass finally getting very profitable hitting the LVL 20 area of battle pass starts awarding NFTs as well as % boosts for progression.

Back to the plants utilized to produce fruit NFT which when fed to certain Beasts starts evolution think of it as a Evolution stone in Pokémon. Needless to say the demand of evolved beasts is impressive thus why the plants producing the fruit at infinite volume are as well.
So last post I spent $2 crafting a plant pack then sold the plant for $10 I then rerolled $2 & got the Plant shown above. Another $10 profit putting me ahead $20 on the same $2 this means I would have to open the next 10 packs at a complete loss to break even let alone hit a deficit.

It does me no good to tell everyone this as it creates competition & overall lowers the profit potential. This is something most are wary of as the whole of society is self serving selfless acts are met with inherent skepticism.
