Splinterlands has again changed the gaming landscape or should I say the Splinterlands game assets have. Splinterlands NFTs have existed on a few Blockchains & Dapp Markets that's nothing new. Multiple Games using the same game items that's a historical achievement.

For those unaware NFTs are perfectly capable of this, use in multiple games, however to the best of my knowledge this was until now a hypothesis, or at the very least incredibly rare to see actually implemented.

I have been studying NFTs on a variety of blockchains for several years, tested a few hundred P2E games, & Splinterlands still just threw me a curve ball.

Ill get into Splinter Forge a new 3rd part game using Splinterlands Game items (NFTs) as well as some other Splinterlands news in this write up.

NFTs Non Fungible Tokens are a digital asset or file of a myriad of types which have been minted on a blockchain. Not only does this include Images, Videos, & Music, but also game items which can be utilized in P2E games.

Splinterlands is a very popular P2E title based off the HIVE blockchain with its assets on a myriad of blockchains.

What todays write up is concerning particularly is 2 other HIVE Blockchain game Dapps also utilize Splinterlands assets.

The term P2E Play 2 Earn Games gets thrown around quite a bit, what does that really mean?

A P2E in its simplest sense is a game typically on a blockchain in which users can earn crypto or NFTs for playing. Earning crypto & NFTs doesn't = Profitable, not all P2E titles are worth playing.

Having been playing Splinterlands a few years I can say, I have made around $20,000 in profit, & given away thousands of dollars worth of Splinterlands NFTs to readers.

The beauty of these Blockchain based assets like Splinterlands NFTs or crypto is that you retain ownership of the game assets you purchase or earn.

Since the asset can be viewed as a part of the game, yet can be made independent from it, ownership of those assets take on a different meaning then traditional in game items.

The other day I was scrolling the Hive Engine trading Feed, like a jilted ex through a social media feed (I'm Working it out), I happened across FORGE.

It appears since its in Alpha It game me 100 Packs of each type 200 total & 100,000 FORGE to play around with for free. I have already opened a few Alpha Packs messed with the Item Re-forge option, equipped my hero & did a Boss Run.

The Wizard Warrior & Archer characters are blank place holders with base stats, you equip Item NFTs to your Place holder of choice to improve its stats.
Legendary Wand Lvl 1 gives a higher Magic attack stat for the Wizard.

Genesis League Sports

Wait isn't this about Splinterlands a phantasy card game, what's with the sports?

In Splinterlands players earn SPS which gets automatically staked when claimed, staked SPS qualifies users vote weight for game change votes.

A number of other rewards go to SPS stakers including a 3rd party HIVE game right now is doing a promotion for SPS stakers.

Splinterlands SPS & DEC

Just a quick tutorial on SPS / DEC the two forms of Crypto (in Game Currency) in Splinterlands.

The Reason (In game currency) is an incorrect term is the same reason an (in game item) is the incorrect term they are assets used in game that exist on a blockchain.

IE the (in game currencies) are a form of Cryptocurrency, the (in game items cards) are a form of NFT.

So DEC was the original Splinterlands crypto a bit rudimentary, but it worked. As crypto you can transfer the DEC in & out of game savvy crypto users can convert it to 🤑.

SPS is the more recent Crypto released over a year long airdrop, SPS has game governance capabilities, & once unstaked can be withdrawn or exchanged for DEC in game.

It is through SPS we can vote on game changes votes weighted on our SPS staked in game.

A myriad of Blockchains support Splinterlands assets but as I understand it the majority of the work goes down on HIVE with Project off shoots on ETH like RUNI or BSC, with WAX having some NFT support options.

I'm a nerd so I enjoy that complexity, but I make things complicated for fun.

You can get away with basically just using HIVE to play Splinterlands, the ecosystem spans further then HIVE if you want.

On the HIVE Blockchain we have a few casinos, one of which Krypto Gamers accepts DEC & you can bet on roulette with intervals of either 1 DEC or 0.1 HIVE / 0.1 STEEM.

With a martingale system I bet 2 DEC if I miss I double it until I hit a win. You see how instead of betting 16 I skip straight to 32 when I won that my earnings instead of 2 where 18.

My system is a Modified Martingale modified 2 fold, the first is the player rewards GAMER generated for playing. The second modification is I infer where best to double a bet a second time for profit.

When I miss 2 Bets putting my bet to 8 I loose I will on occasion bet 32 like I showed above.

This doesn't always work but a deep enough DEC pool in ones wallet & the odds of a 48.8% failing that many times with a game with provably fair mechanisms is near impossible at a certain level.

Statistics being what they are it is a mathematically possible though not significant chance of going bust, just be wherry.

Ultimately when Splinterforge fully rolls out it seems to be the case there as well, keep in mind this is an alpha stage testing phase meaning space is limited & rewards may or may not be permanent.

Market tip

I have been dealing with crypto for around 3 years, in that time I learned a few things.

I sell NFTs when the asset I'm trading into is down & buy when its high, for instance WAX. When I sold that pack WAX traded at $0.045 USD at the time of writing $0.06, not much but when done in sufficient volume its noticeable.

Consider I now buy those packs I sold for $2.48, I can now buy for $1.49, do you see how being aware of this is advantageous.
Now that's $1.48 in either stable credits or flux DEC, now look at DEC prices.
The average price point difference on DEC is down $0.001 from its high 1 month ago. WAX however is currently $0.025 under its high, from their price history I trade out of DEC into assets I HODL or sell for WAX.

Understand these markets like all markets have at least 2 asset prices to consider the value of your transactional medium & the value of the asset in question.

Keep in mind this is just my own process, I take financial risks doing this, nothing is fool proof.
