Now that bitcoin is $28,000 a coin and rising and you need the equivalent of a supercomputer to realistically mine BTC to stand a chance of actually beating the competing pools and miners. There are still a couple of options for the little guy just starting out While not mining in traditional sense still Bitcoin mining best part you dont even need a computer.

cryptotab browser

Cryptotab browser has both a mobile version(s), ios, and a PC version they offer a free version to every platform however they have a Pro version on the android that uses server dependent mining and can be multiplied by 10 twice for a fee. I have been using it to mine on both android and pc I spent around $35 all together have 5 old androids mining on x10 SDM and a P.C using standard resource mining through cryptotab for free. I have earned $156 so far on my own mining pool made of crap phones $35 and a give em hell attitude.

Roller coin

Not quite the pro here that I am in the crypto tab realm but this has solid earnings potential. Styled like a 8bit flash game roller coin allows you to purchase in game mining rigs that mine BTC, ETH, or DOGE. Here's my room

not great but a nice passive way to Earn DOGE in my case for around $13 however I took advantage of sales If you where to drop a hundred on it or more you could be rocking this.
The Ph/s there stands for peta hash a second in other words a mythical level of processing power a petabytes worth 1000 terabytes. needless to say your not getting a quantum computer. However they wouldn't drop 100 or much more on something that doesn't work so I'm looking in to it for one.

Holiday Deals on both

Roller coin is giving away daily presents for free whole thing is free but you can buy in game items. https://rollercoin.com/?r=k3801qv5 crypto tab browser is giving 2x cloud boost away for free for a limited time. https://cryptotabbrowser.com/9898964
