La libertà di parola sui social sembra qualcosa di garantito, di ovvio, come se nessuno potesse premere un tasto e cancellare il nostro post. Chi farebbe mai una cosa del genere e perché? Non è assolutamente possibile.
Se avete un account su Twitter e seguite l'account @hive_data, gestito dal nostro @hiro-hive, potrete notare come quotidianamente i vertici del social media cancellano post o bloccano account con una frequenza incredibile, direi crescente in questw ultime settimane per contenuti magari politici, visto l'imminente elezione del presidente degli Stati Uniti d'America.
È il caso ad esempio di Mark Morgan, membro della Commissione in favore della costruzione del muro al confine con il Messico, il quale si è visto censurato un tweet in cui era stato condiviso il video del muro e aveva come testo “every mile helps us stop gang members, murderers, sexual predators, and drugs from entering our country.”
Il tweet è stato successivamente ripristinato dopo il clamore che ha suscitato in poche ore e l vicenda è finita anche su Fox News.
Le censure non hanno solo tematiche politiche, come purtroppo può testimoniare il nostro @theycallmedan, a cui è stato sospeso l'account Twitter per i contenuti scomodi ai Big Tech ossia proprio la censura utilizzato come strumento per impedire la comunicazione tra più utenti su tematiche hot.
