HF 26 Evolution is here!
In this hour Hive's HF 26, called Evolution, is about to be implemented, the witnesses have completed the upgrade of their infrastructure, and the transaction should not cause any discontinuity to our blockchain. The introduction of OBI aims to enhance the security of the blockchain from possible attacks on the network (do you remember the story of our friend Justin?). Well, Evolution implements a new security system called One-Block Irreversibility (OBI) making a block validated by most of the witnesses irreversible, therefore impossible to cancel or modify even with a Hard Fork. The block will generally be made irreversible within seconds of its production, and this is also extremely important for making purchases and payments with HIVE. The certainty that the payment is confirmed and can no longer be canceled within a few seconds is definitely great news for those who want to introduce the crypto payment system!
Another obstacle that will finally be overcome concerns the availability of RC for new users. As you well know, creating a new account does not offer the possibility of being able to move freely on the network since, although Hive offers free transactions, something similar to Ethereum's GAS is actually required, here called Resource Credits. Generally it was enough to receive a proxy of 20/30 HP but this becomes a problem in front of thousands of users, taking away voting power and rewards from the delegating account holders.
Now it will be possible to delegate only RC, a clear benefit for the whole community, and there are already new projects such as RC POOL Angel, a pool from which RC can be drawn in surplus donated by users who own it in large quantities. In questo ore l'HF 26 di Hive, chiamato Evolution, sta per essere implementato, i witness hanno completato l'aggiornamento delle loro infrastrutture, e la transazione non dovrebbe provocare alcuna discontinuità alla nostra blockchain. È stato pubblicato un post di aggiornamento di tutte le novità introdotte da Evolution, un eccellente lavoro del team di sviluppo che ha reso la nostra rete più efficiente, sicura e scalabile.
L'introduzione di OBI mira a potenziare la sicurezza della blockchain da eventuali possibili attacchi sulla rete (ricordate un po' la vicenda del nostro amico Justin?). Bene, Evolution implementa un nuovo sistema di sicurezza chiamato One-Block Irreversibility (OBI) rendendo di fatto un blocco validato dalla gran parte dei witness irreversibile, impossibile quindi da annullare o modificare anche con un Hard Fork. Il blocco sarà reso irreversibile generalmente entro pochi secondi dalla sua produzione, e ciò è estremamente importante anche per effettuare acquisti e pagamenti con HIVE. La certezza che il pagamento sia confermato e non più annullabile entro pochi secondi è decisamente una gran bella notizia per chi vuole introdurre il sistema di pagamento crypto!
Un altro ostacolo che sarà finalmente superato riguarda la disponibilità di RC per i nuovi utenti. Come ben saprete, la creazione di un nuovo account non offre la possibilità di potersi muovere liberamente sulla rete poiché, sebbene Hive offre transazioni gratuite, in realtà è richiesto qualcosa di simile al GAS di Ethereum, qui chiamato Resource Credits. Generalmente era sufficiente ricevere una delega di 20/30 HP ma ciò diventa un problema di fronte a migliaia di utenti, sottraendo potere di voto e rewards ai titolari dell'account delegante.
Ora sarà possibile delegare solo RC, un netto beneficio per la comunità intera, e ci sono già nuovi progetti come RC POOL Angel, una pool da cui si potrà attingere RC donata in surplus dagli utenti che ne possiedono in grande quantità.
