The end of the pandemic and the recovery of the economy, in addition to the war in Ukraine, has generated a strong demand for energy, causing prices to skyrocket, generating very high inflation and falling back on household accounts, which have seen the power of purchase go down sharply.

These reasons, in addition to a plan to migrate the production of more sustainable energy sources, have led, especially European authorities, more energy employees, to massively support the production of clean and sustainable energy.

The US administration has finalized a $390 billion plan that addresses the various aspects of decarbonization with grants and incentives for sustainability. In particular, the companies that will produce technologies for the production of clean energy will obtain greedy subsidies. But a package of incentives for citizens who will adopt virtuous behaviour.

Source Investment Billion USD

Europe, fearing to see many companies migrating to the US, recently announced a European Green Deal, or Green Deal Industrial Plan, which will incentivize and speed up the migration to green energy over the next seven years. The goal is to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030 and to have them zero by 2050.

Hundreds of billions of dollars of investment will be expected and it is clear that the first to enter will also be those who will profit the most. Since 2019, Europe's migration towards the production of clean energy has begun and in the last year 2022 alone, plants that produce green energy were installed such as to cover 5 billion cubic meters of gas. The trend is continuously increasing and the new green deal will certainly produce an increase in installed GWH.

Asia is also doing very well on the renewables front: Japan, India, China have now begun a process of migration towards renewables, aware that the future of their countries depends on the massive adoption of new technologies, otherwise it will remain very back and that will cost a lot of money.

I'd be curious to know more data on Russia's green investments, rather than wasting billions of dollars on missiles, for a few hundred square kilometers. I don't count the losses deriving from the missed collection of gas and oil. Valuable resources to be used elsewhere. A big pity indeed. We hope that the war ends quickly and a just peace encourages everyone to create a better world.
