Who am I?

The name pretty much says it all - nothing I ever say should be viewed as financial advice. Even after doing this as long as I have, I am pretty sure I am just managing to fail my way up the ladder of success.

As an internet random - my goal is just to blog about my investments, past, current and what I think is interesting with most of my focus on traditional stocks. While I love crypto - I have learned I am not good at "trading" and while I have a few, mainly alt coins, I am out of my league and will leave that for those who better understand, or at least have more conviction in their beliefs.

Been buying stocks on and off since about 2000. I have had several different trading accounts, and due to life changes, most of my trending accounts have been closed to pursuit other financial goals. I have not been trading actively for the past 12-18 months. I had a couple of massive paper and real losses that pushed me to put most in index funds and take a break. When COVID hit, I had no clue what to do, so I did nothing - and it seems that was largely a good idea. Hard to screw up timing the market if you just keep buying in every month!

What are my LEO goals?

LEO - Its community and its on going development efforts has me very interested to see where it goes. It gives me hope this type of platform can have the success I initially thought multiple chains might years ago. My goal is to do 100% power up of all LEO I earn, and after getting some Hive powered up for posting, commenting etc I will have to decide if I power up HIVE or convert to more LEO. I am currently leaning to LEO until I get some respectable power

What am I holding? Current Stock Trading Portfolio!

This shows what percentage each of my holdings are in my current (need to update some record keeping) portfolio. I show these are a total percentage of my trading account. I only trade with a portion of my account, the rest is sitting in market index funds doing what they do, and most likely performing better.

Holding Performance

Wow... That is ugly and why you should just read this to find out what NOT to do. This gets even worse when you figure in the stock in held in TLRD that went bankrupt. That will be one of my later articles - I traded that stock pretty heavily for a while and held on much too long.

Looking at my current holdings, most of these span back to 2017-2018 when I was trading more activity before taking a break. as you can see - I have some large losses, and GMO is bankrupt so that will basically be 100% loss by the end. A few others have done really well on percent view, but when you factor in time - it down grads to an good investment, not great!.

What's Next?

I look forward to answering any questions you have and talking about my Feb trades and updating my recording keeping to see where this crazy market takes a cluelessinvestor!
