It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that most news sources are as reliable as my abilities to make serious and informative content after half a dozen bears and a few "secret" ingredients. In other words, if you rely on a few crappy media outlets you are better off getting your news from the old lady down the street. That being said, and despite the piss poor quality of most articles, there is method to the apparent dumbassery of most mass media. But before I ramble on, I need to clarify that I'm not some sort of conspiracy nut that believes all traditional media is hiding some sort of crucial truth that only some obscure and shady blog or something is actually talking about. Most influencers, be it idiots on crap-tok, or the corrupt bastards you see on TV, are all about swaying the masses in one way or another to suit their agendas. And that has been happening to differing degrees since like forever.

I want to point out the way they are trying to do that in coordination with the market trends is so they can benefit directly and also take advantage of the lack of regulation. For example I have seen a articles making a compilation about all the crypto FUD, some of it outdated, that has been circulating in the past few years. Glossing over the fact focusing on FUD articles in the bear market is like focusing on the fact your shoes are wet during a heavy rain, I think shoving ass much FUD down the throat of the masses is a good way of ensuring the rich scumbags will get their chance to buy things like bitcoin on the super cheap while all the plebs focus on the doom and gloom. A good example of similar tactics is Musky boy and the Dodge price manipulation, I'm sure he made a killing during that period.

It's only worth it to be obscenely rich if most people are struggling to get by, because if the masses would get financial independence then all those riches wouldn't be worth as much.

As counterintuitively as it may seem, crypto should be boring most of the time: you grind it out everyday, and extremely rarely buy or sell, unless you're a super genius trader. That's the idiot proof way of getting ahead when it comes to magic internet money and someday maybe even financial independence. But nobody reads boring news articles now, do they ? :)
