Today I wanted to chat about the idea I’ve got with the LPUD stake I won and how I will use it.
Curating Threads Over Posts
I think it’s about time I publish at least one post from this account lol. That way I also let Hive Buzz give me a comment with all of the notifications I’m missing out on by not having a post but lots of comments since I created this one! Maybe I’ll post more from it, not sure! I need enough content to post on one account never mind two lol. Anyways onto the main topic of the post here!
With the most recent #lpud past us, one of the things that was awesome was that I won the 20k delegation for a period of time! I am eagerly waiting to get the delegation so I can start doing some additional curating and spreading the love out there as far and wide as I can.
What I did think of last night while I was attempting to sleep was that I should change up my curating habits with this new found stake that I will be using! I’m going to plan on curating #threads over posts for this period of time.
I’ve been enjoying the #threads stuff for a few weeks now and have gotten into a bit of a rhythm with it, where I’ll finish off my night of posting and commenting with a bit of #threads even if it’s just for a few minutes. This helps me get out into the various different areas of the blockchain but also help promote and get more people into the activity by adding engagement in there. I think this is going to be a win for us long term for sure, and eventually when an app is released will make it a lot easier to get outside people into the stuff.
With the stake that I will be wielding I am thinking of decreasing my votes on posts down from the 45% it is at now down to about 20% and I’ll still be voting on all of the posts that I usually do however I’ll be spending another large part of my stake and voting power on curating the #threads of people so that I can help spread some rewards in that realm! I plan on seeing if I can use 3% comment votes to generate enough of a reward that it will go to payout for the user and will allow me to distribute a fairly decent amount of votes per day while not spending all of my voting power below acceptable limits. I think the rewards will be lower for me overall but that’s the short term gain mentality and I’m trying to be focused on the long term so that I will help promote #threads and get some motivation of others in there. That’s better to me than a decrease in potential rewards I think!
It’s been good to see all of the different people that are posting #threads! We’ve already had a lot of different content like music, vegan, memes, photography and a lot more. This expands the base of people not only on Leo but it will add more people from the parent hive chain that for whatever reason weren’t interested in the Leo side of the house, over there and hopefully bring some friends as well!
I’m looking forward to getting the stake for the next couple weeks so that I can put this idea into practice!
