Earlier this year I set myself a goal of reaching 10K Hive Power! It was a long road and one that I wasn’t sure at some points I would honestly reach lol.

I’ve been trying to set goals for myself more in life as the older I get because goals are ways to keep you on task in a sense. There’s been some adjustments of goals along the way but the important thing with life and goals, in my opinion, is you have to learn how to set different levels of goals. I had an ideal goal, an optimistic goal and a stop-gap goal. My ideal goal was to hit 10K hive power when factoring in my delegations. My ideal goal was to hit 15k Hive Power but that was more optimistic than anything because of the level of my ability to post and be active while still have a wife and child.

The stop-gap goal was going to be 8K hive power which I thankfully crossed back in October. These types of tiers of goals I think are important because at least me personally it gives me things to attain and keeps you on a track to make milestones.

Engagement and Exposure

The other important aspect of these types of things is a lot of times you aren’t going to be very successful without being engaged in the platform. My engagement could be better for sure but I think it’s a decent level where I can balance work, personal and digital life. If someone is on here and they expect to have some degree of success they need to be engaging and active with posts and comments. I haven’t been perfect at engaging these past few weeks but I make it a point to do so at least a few posts!

For the calendar year 2021 I would like to set myself a goal of 20k hive power. Do you think that should be my optimistic goal? My stop-gap goal will be 15k hive power!
