Since 2022, crypto has given us so many opportunities to buy our favourite coins or tokens as low as possible and then the trend is reversing as of now in 2023. We have seen Bitcoin going above $21K, and Hive going above $0.42 and there are other coins too which are increasing their value. I am not saying we are in the bull phase, because it might be a bull trap where there is a fake pump and then dumping starts. No one knows the future but one thing is certain your investment in crypto will be fruitful in future no matter what.

I know people might think that the crypto can go down to Zero (yes there are quite a few people who think that), but 2023 has given us a good opportunity to buy more now so that in the future when it rises we can get a profit. This is good for someone like me who is buying daily through the DCA so that I can accumulate more Bitcoin at the same price.

But the good part is if you continue investing you will get a profit in the long run, that is what I feel though it's not financial advice by any chance. It can be down now but surely will give profit in the future. Whoever has some stablecoin investment would take this opportunity to buy some crypto and sell it when it becomes higher and in the process, they can earn some money. This is what I do with Hive and HBD, I have liquid HBD and when Hive goes down buy some Hive from HBD and sell it when Hive goes up and in the process, we will have more HBD at the end.

Crypto Investment in 2023

Now coming back to the topic, the crypto investments in 2023 which I am going do to or have already started are:

Bitcoin

I know this is not a brainer anymore, we should have a Bitcoin in our portfolio no matter what. I am not saying to have a full 1 Bitcoin but you should have some in your portfolio because I can only think of it as a Head of the Crypto Family. Though it's a personal decision to invest or not in bitcoin based on the risk appetite but again I guess Bitcoin carries less risk than any other crypto (not talking about stablecoin here). One way I think Bitcoin will rule the world is when the world decides to lower the US Dollar adoption and thus use Bitcoin for all the buying and selling.

Since there is volatility in the market but I think once the institutions and governments enter the market those volatilities will go away and I think Bitcoin is the best way to get a hedge against inflation.

Hive

It is not that I am heavily invested in Hive means that I am asking people to watch out for Hive. But the benefits of Hive are much more than what people know about it. To give you a context Hive is the pioneer in the web 3.0 ecosystem, when there was no talk about Web 3.0, Hive was functioning just like how Web 3.0 works. Hive works on the DPos (Delegated Proof-of-Stake) which means that it works on the consensus mechanism.

The good thing about Hive and why it can disrupt the market is that you can transfer the Hive to any part of the world without paying any fees. The Hive ecosystem also gives an opportunity for everyone to earn whether through posting, curating, playing games, etc.

HBD

What if I say that you can have a stablecoin (which doe snot fluctuate much) that gives you 20% returns annually as well as the lock-in period is just 3 days? You might be thinking I am joking, but that is all true for HBD when saved in savings. It does fluctuate a little but it gives 20% APR every year and thus it is compounded monthly. Just like Hive, it also does not require any fees to transfer and thus it is the perfect choice for merchants and services to accept payment in HBD.

Ethereum

Just like Bitcoin, everyone should have at least some part of ETH in their portfolio. Actually, Ethereum has much more use cases than Bitcoin which makes it lucrative to hold. Along with that, there are a lot of Dapp on the Ethereum network which makes it a coin to hold. There is a lot of active development going on in Ethereum and thus the developers are trying to improve its scalability as well as its network throughput. This will make it a good choice for projects trying to build on the blockchain.

LEO

Again, It is not that I am heavily invested in LEO means that I am asking people to watch out for LEO. I have never seen so much development happening in any project in the crypto space than the LEO ecosystem. They are maintaining a lot of projects as well as trying to improve them so that we all benefit from them. Like what if we have a Twitter Killer on Web 3, yes we have one in Leo that is Threads. What if I say that you have one coin and then you can convert that coin in some of the chains to get the benefit from it? Yes, you can do that using polyCUB and CUB. So yeah there are a lot of developments going on and it's better to watch out for it in 2023.
