A month. A whole month! Gosh, I think that Hive Power Up Days (#hivepud) are such an awesome way to remember to:

  • Pause
  • Take stock, and
  • Celebrate!!!

I tried several new things in the last 30 days.

I tried posting more often.

I tried only posting when I wanted to.

(These might seem contradictory, but they're not. To fulfil the former, I just allocated a bit more time each week to Hive. To fulfil the latter, I just paid attention to how I was feeling; did I want to post or was I "should'ing" on myself?)

I tried doing shorter posts (instead of turning everything into an epic masterpiece). Sometimes I succeeded at this and other times... well I'm a bit like my new friends @traciyork and @samsmith1971, I like to write a lot and I seem to have a lot to say ๐Ÿ˜‚

I tried having more conversations with people I thought were cool or interesting or doing something noteworthy. (See awesome, aforementioned humans ๐Ÿ˜‰).

I started actively collecting and sharing LOLZ tokens and actually laughed out loud ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚ at the jokes shared by the @lolztoken bot (created by the amazingly clever @captaincryptic. Thank you again Good Sir!).

I deliberately loved on people who I thought we were saying or doing cool things or expressing themselves in a way that made my heart open. (I'm looking at you @yahia-lababidi).

Loved on: to express love towards or gratitude of another human or creature or thing that could be loved.

I think I'm getting better at working out how I want to do Hive.

I think each of us need to find our own unique way of blogging and participating on the blockchain (if we're not just here to play some game starting with 'S' and ending in 'lands').

I think I have an oft-forgotten talent for poetry that @mariannewest's FreeWrite Daily Posts have woken me up to. (If you want to be a bit creative with your writing or share you love of storytelling, poetry or prose you can see what I'm referring to in this community by clicking here).

I think I'm going to embrace my love of studying and writing and sharing cool and useful things more and more as the months go on. I also think I'm going to allow myself to write ridiculously long sentences as often as I please, thank you very much ๐Ÿ˜†

And I'm excited about the Hive price ya'll!

I know I'm a relative new kid on the block and so many of you have been at it, building away here for years (thank you!). But let me jump in and add to the excitement about Hive's ATH. (Look at me using appropriate three letter acronyms ๐Ÿ˜†). Let me also say, I get it; if I'm here and committed to a new future with a decentralised world economy I can't be a fair weather player, I need to make sure my blogging and interaction here stays:

  1. Fun &
  2. Sustainable.

Source

So they're my goals for next month and beyond:

+ Get clearer about my way of "doing Hive"
+ Keep making it fun +
Ensure I share and engage in a way that feels sustainable.

And keep celebrating!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching my reputation number climb to its current 58 knowing that this is an expression of the amount I've been interacting here. ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—

Also, my wallet account value just now tipped over $500 for the first time ever. Yay ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ

And I did something new this month; when I realised I hadn't powered up early enough to participate in HPUD, I learned from @fionasfavourites that I can power down in the days leading up to the 1st and then just cancel it today--the 1st of the month--and that this still counts as powering up. Who knew! Learning new things every single month.

Now I'm still not clear if I actually meet the criteria for this month's #hivepud contest thing that Traci York has put on. (If you're clueless as to what I'm speaking about check out Traci's post here). But I'm writing this post anyway, 1. Because I think I meet all the rest of the criteria still, and 2. It's fun? It's fun. And that was on my Hive goals list, to have fun.

So there ๐Ÿ˜‹
